Hi everybody,

this weekend I held again a slightly modified session about tinymce_rte
on the TYPO3camp in munich.

To make it short, here are some quotes from participants and from
twitter this morning:

@ohader ?
Hallo? ;)"

To translate the german statements: tinymce_rte is great. There is a
button configurator online. It should go ASAP into the core.

Btw. "@WrYBiT" is Jens Hoffmann, the TYPO3 HCI leader. :-)

The other thing is that I found somebody who would like to sponsor the
DAM support at least partially. :-) What he wants to know is:

- - How much time will it take?
- - What is the roadmap?
- - When will the feature be officially available?

A question I would add: Can we provide an additional benefit for the
sponsors? Like a prominent sponsor list on the wiki, in the manual, ...

How much work time would be needed? All in all incl. testing,
documentaion, release? 8 days? 10 days? 15? If we (you?) agree on an
amount, I would try to find the sponsors.

Best regards,
Marcus

nice - pretty awesome :)

yeah, I would like to integrate it as a mod so it can easily be used
by anyone (my preparation as in form of the MooTools extension (mpm)
is finally useable and I would like to integrate it)

yeah, would be cool but I guess that would require a lot of work, as
it's probably not "clean" enough for the core...
also it would really limit the release circle... (not that we had so
many releases lately.. :p) [sorry I'm a little too busy right now]

yeah, I met him on the T3DD09 - he is pretty nice...

I also applied for the TYPO3 User eXperience Week 2009
http://t3uxw09.typo3.org/
or maybe someone else could do some work on the RTE in this week...

pretty hard questions and I'm not sure at all... I would guess about
1 day seek through DAM code (and try to understand anything...)
3 days use the Core class of the filebrowser and extend it
2 days adopt the DAM code for HTMLArea to tinymce_rte
x days debugging/testing...

so here we have the x - could be 1 to 7 - I don't know... I just don't
have enough experience with DAM

hmmm a sponsor list in the wiki would be weird but ok for me...
the manual would be ok for me too but I'm not sure if the TYPO3
Association allows such things?

hmm yeah I don't really know.. something between 2-14 days I guess...
If the code is good it might be even possible in 1 day... yeah but I
doubt it... I mean the whole file dialog is somewhat old-style bad...
And how will it work with TYPO3 4.3? will the dialog change due to the
use of ExtJs?
I'm a little in a clinch here :p
