Hello everybody,

like to drop in a word and that is that i like the work you have
been doing on TyphoonAE, i tried porting my bot to it and got
reasonable far enough to say that its working ;] Well not quite as the
channel API doesnt work for me and ssl seems troublesome.

Porting the buildout stuff to FreeBSD was not that easy i needed to
hack bits and pieces as making sure the proper make was used (some
pieces like gmake others need BSD make), some system daemons needed to
be used (the memcachelib didnt want to compile properly from the
buildout) and my bot needed to be patched as well as locking stalled
operations.

All in all im very pleased as to what 2 days of hacking got me thus
far, see http://jsonbot.org:8080. Source code of my bot is at
http://jsonbot.googlecode.com if your curious.

Where does the development of TyphoonAE take place ? IRC ?
Mailinglists ? I'd like to connect to ppl so maybe i can help on
version 0.3 ;]

Thnx for the effort you've put into this. Like it !

Greetings,

Bart

Hi Bart,

Thanks again for using TyphoonAE! Great to hear that you've managed to
port the buildout to FreeBSD. I'd definitely be keen to see what
you've come up with. Any repository to look at?

Discussions and development mainly take place here in this mailing
list. It has been a bit silent lately, though. This might be due to
the fact that TyphoonAE didn't get the traction it deserves ;)

However, I'm still very enthusiastic about the project and appreciate
your contribution!

Cheers,
Tobias
