hello tobias and all,

i am aware that transaction is not supported on mongodb datastore. i
just want to confirm if transactions are fully supported on
bdbdatastore and mysqldb?

Hi edel,

Both alternative Datastore backends, BDBDatastore and MySQL, support
GAE transactions. The BDBDatastore hasn't been updated at all since a
while, though.

thank you tobias, that;s what i wanted to know. look's like i'll be
using mysql for now. i hope mongodb supports gae transaction in the
near future.

Absolutely! I've recently started with an enhanced version of the
Datastore MongoDB stub with very basic transaction support. But doing
transactions right with scalability in mind is quite a challenge.

TAE is really a great project. i wish i was a good programmer so that
