Creating unicode hindi webpages-urgent help required

I am planning to create/develop hindi webpages. I have searched on the
internet and the best way presently is to use unicode fonts. I have
following doubts regarding the same. Kindly spare your valuable time.
1. How to type in hindi in a webpage - can we use editors like
frontpage, expression web 2 etc. as i am familiar with them. what is
the best way to type in webpages in hindi.
2. should others download any font, in case they cannot see the
webpages in hindi.
3. Is it enough, if they enable, indic support in operating systems
like windows xp etc
4. Are unicode hindi webpages seen in all the web browsers.
5. Kindly suggest a easy way to type in hindi, do we have any freeware
software to do so.

Unicode, despite its shortcomings and complications, appears to be the
only way for promoting Hindi on the Internet. I have given my views in
