In Hunt 2, right after shooting all those Pronghorns, move on through the rocks. When using hunters sense, you will see some "hiding bushes" along the way on the left side. There is a hidden area right behind the first one of these. Just follow the path behind that bush all the way to the end, and there will be a photo challenge, as well. You have to capture at least 3 does on a picture. Just walk to the shoreline, and look slightly to the left onto the peninsula, there will be 5 does close to each other.

During the Elk Hunt, you will come to a wide area. The game will tell you to take a picture of a bison. If you stand right in front of the shooting rest, facing the ladder, the bison is behind the fence to your right. It will show you where, when you use hunters sense. Find the right spot, to see it.

At the beginning of the first hunt there is a cutscene, where the hunters talk about lions. When it is over, head straight until you get to a cliff. You should be told to take a picture of the vultures and the lion. You can see the vultures feeding on a water buffalo carcass down the cliff, and the lion will come from the right.

During the third hunt, right after shooting the white-tailed deer, when you use hunters sense, you will see a rope close to the moose tracks. When facing the rope, turn left and follow the rock formation. You will soon come to a narrow tunnel, and birds will fly out of it. Enter it for the next hidden area, and a photo challenge. You will have to take a photo of a bear, which is at the top of the cave (there are holes at the top).

Bowhunter Editor and "Bowhunter TV" host Curt Wells visits with Josh Johnson of Spot Hogg at the 2023 Archery Trade Show in Indianapolis. The company has updated the pic systems for their popular Fast Eddie sights to make them compatible with the new mounting systems that are becoming more and more prevalent on many of the newer bow models being brought to the market today.

Following up on the success of the popular Corrie boot, the Kenetrek faithful asked the company to create an all-leather version of it. Here, Bowhunter Editor and Bowhunter TV host Curt Wells gets a firsthand look at the results: the new Slide Rock Hiker. For more info: kenetrek.com

Ricky Brule shows Bowhunter Magazine Editor Curt Wells the new Gen Integrate 8 and 8X Series arrow rests from Vapor Trail Archery. Both models can be mounted to the Integrate Mounting System found on most modern compound bows.

You will enjoy listening to volunteer instructors and Natural Resources Police Officers pass on their expertise and hunting experiences, talking with your fellow hunters during class breaks, and getting familiar with the total hunting experience. Extra help is available for those who may need it.

In this area if you use your hunter sense you will see a few birds flying off in the distance. Take aim on one with your rifle and note the distance in the left corner of the screen. When you see a bird between 100 and 150 yards, shoot it with the rifle. You will get a warning about shooting a bird with a rifle instead of a shotgun, but you will also score 15G for the Long Shot achievement.

Leave the goose blind and head to the right of the pond from where you were sitting in the blind. Use hunter sense to find some moose. They may be running around crazy from the goose hunt. Try and line up three shots to take 3 moose and complete the objective while saving your adrenaline for the trophy moose as you want to take this guy down in one shot. Once you have 3 moose on the ground the objective is complete.

As soon as your conversation with the initial guide is over you will regain control of your hunter character and Tex will be calling to you from a position directly in front of you. Walk up close to him to start a conversation and the objective is complete!

Get down from the tree stand and walk back to the side of the river where you and Sid were just talking. Cross the river and get into the island on the other side. Crouch with if you don't want to take changes on scaring the animal. As you cross the river you should trigger a cut scene where you get a look at the Trophy Water Buffalo. Check your map to see where he moves following the cut scene and approach the area. Use hunter sense to find the Water Buffalo in the area and take aim on them to identity the Trophy Water Buffalo. Drop him in one shot to earn the Trophy Legend Achievement for this area:

After you speak to the opening guide you will once again have to meet good ol' Sid Perez. He will be standing right in front of you when you take control of your hunter. Walk up to him to let him speak and the objective is complete. He will ask you to complete a mini-game.

Move a little farther out into the valley and you will trigger a cut scene showing the Trophy Axis deer to you. Once you have control of your hunter use Hunter Sense and your rifle scope to identify the Trophy Axis deer. Once you have him identified make sure it is out in the open and then use your Adrenaline to slow the animal to a standstill. Take your kill shot and your Trophy Axis Deer achievement along with it:

When you have control of your hunter once again you will be at the edge of a pond. Use hunter sense and look across the pond to see a few Blackbuck Antelope hanging out. Take one down while they are tame which will send the other one(s) running. Skirt the left side of the pond and use hunter sense to identify another one. Staying to the left side of the pond and following the path there you should see another antelope to take down. If not, had back around the pond and use Hunter Sense until you find one. Come back to this point on the left side of the lake once you have 2 animals down and you have completed the objective.

You now have to hunt 2 Water Buffalo. My experience is that these guys do not hang out together where they are marked on the map. Leaving the pond behind you, stick to the left of the map and follow the "path" which is more an opening in the brush. Sticking to the left you will eventually trigger a cut scene where you get a look at the Rival Cougar for the first time. Following the cut scene take a peek into the clearing to your right. There is usually a Water Buffalo here taking a nap on the ground. Yes, on the ground. I have repeated this several times. Kill this animal. Head down into the clearing where the animal lays and again veer to the left. Follow the path until it comes to a sharp right turn. You should see a wooden bridge across a small brook here. Cross the wooden bridge and use hunter sense to look around here to the left as this is where the second Water Buffalo hangs out. Take him down to complete the objective.

If you DO get hit or if you DO miss more than three times hit start and choose "Last Checkpoint". This will basically restart the Cougar battle and you have the opportunity to net the achievement. IMPT - If you DO reload the checkpoint, be sure to re-equip your .30-06 as the game equips the much weaker .22-.250 by default. Sometimes even though you are in hunter sense you will NOT get prompted to dodge and the cat simply takes a chunk out of you. My experience is that it was best to try and stay out in the open away from bushes and always be looking in the general direction of where the cougar ran off. In addition, there is a small clearing a few yards ahead and to the left of where you jump down from the rock once you cross the tree. This area seems to have a better success rate for prompting you to dodge.

When you have control of your hunter again you will be chatting with another guide. He tells you that there is a blind nearby to hunt some geese from. You are allowed to use the shotgun here and not screw your achievement for crossbow hunting. The blind is located directly in front of you as you take control of your hunter. Go to it and get in it. Use your .12Ga pump action to take down 6 geese in the time allotted and the objective is complete. Your stats will be shown on the stats screen.

This one will take a little while. As soon as you take control of the hunter you will be prompted to play a mini game where you hunt for weasel. Because there is an endless supply of weasel here, it is a great place to net all the achievements for using various weapons. Press to accept the mini game and then move to the tripod stand and enter it. Your .22-250 will be equipped by default. Use it to take the 5 weasels down and complete the objective, but do not leave the tripod stand when you have completed the objective.

Directly in front of you when you take control of your hunter you will see the same old blind that you've been seeing all game. Go up to it and enter it to start the mini game Sandgrouse hunt. Take down 6 of these slow moving birds and you will have completed this objective.

Follow the path in front of you once you take control of your hunter and you will no doubt find a lot of Jackals. Take out 5 of these to complete the objective as you continue on your way. Keep following the main path as you hunt Jackals. You will find plenty on your way.
