to Thank You HaKadosh Baruch Hu - Share you Miracle!
I was in Shul for Ma'ariv and stayed late to take care of something. While I was waiting, there was a father learning nearby with his son and every minute or so while the father was reading from the Sefer, he would make a sort of "tsk" sound as if he was disappointed. At that time I was thinking to myself "is this a way to speak to your son - especially while learning Torah?!". Then I caught myself and thought "How could I be thinking this about a fellow Jew who I barely even know?" and instead I started thinking of possible reasons why the father could be making these seemingly unneeded sounds - among these thoughts that the father had a sore throat or something and had a cough drop in his mouth.
So I decided to listen a little closer for a few minutes and realized that it was indeed as the thought H.sh.m had put in my mind - the father did have a slightly nasally voice as if his nose was plugged, his voice was a little gravelly, and a few moments after I started listening closer, the father coughed and it was not the normal cough, but the cough of one who is just starting to get over a cold or something like that.
Immediately my mind filled with completely different thoughts - among them "Wow! This father is so dedicated to learning Torah with his son even when he is not feeling so well! I wish I had that level of dedication for my own learning!"
As if H.sh.m was saying "See? You think positively about your fellow Yid, and I will help you" and then rewarding me for doing this, a person who is a close family friend whom we have not seen in a while stopped by for a visit that same night!
Thank you H.sh.m for opening my eyes(/ears) to see(/hear) what the truth was in this situation, and please may You help all of Am Yisroel to truly open our eyes and hearts to the situations of those around us thereby increasing the Achdus and Ahavas Yisrael in the world and bring the Geulah Sheleimah ever closer!
