I hope everyone has had a happy Monday :)
Rob spoke to us about the importance of prayer yesterday.  We discussed reasons why we don't pray: too tired, too busy, feel unworthy, self sufficient, forgetful.  We also discussed how God longs for our presence through prayer. God desires communion with us through prayer, all throughout the day.

I challenge everyone to focus this week on bringing all of your matters to God and stay in touch with him through thankful, trusting prayers, and then rest in His Sovereign control. Staying in constant communication with him will fill your life with a sense of peace that only He can provide.

Please be in prayer for the following prayer requests this week:

Rob- David Donaway (Duane Donaway's brother) has brain cancer
Chris & Rachel Mabry- their daughter, Claire, is getting tubes put in this week
Chalon- Her friend Michelle is having a double mastectomy
Nate- His friend Jay passed away

Hey, church family!

Pam has made another plea to me to gather volunteers for Sunday morning childcare. If you have kids in the pre-school department, pray if this is somewhere you want to serve. Mitchell and I will be helping out as much as we can, and would love to see others from our class down there as well.

Of course they will take volunteers for every week, but if you want to be on call helpers or want to help every other week I know they will welcome your help!

Email Pam if you are interested or I would be more than welcome to forward your info to her! Pcl...@pdbc.org

Thanks!
Amanda

Mike taught on Luke 11:4, "Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation."

We are called to confess our sins and forgive others.  We have been forgiven through Jesus' death on the cross, so we are called to be Christ-like and forgive others.

Mike challenged us to think about why Jesus stated "And lead us not into temptation", when God allows us to be tempted. God led Jesus into the desert to be tempted by Satan. Why does he say to ask him not to lead us into temptation, if God doesn't tempt us?
