Prayer Requests

Great to see everyone at Sunday school and at the pool party at the Wiley's house yesterday. Rob brought us a lesson from Luke 9:46-50 where the disciples argued over who was the greatest among them. We discussed the difference between "proud" and "pride" as well as "pride" and "humility". Pride is self-focused, impairs relationships, and can harden your heart. Where Humility is others focused, builds relationships, and you have a contrite heart. Rob challenged us to live a life of humility.

Prayer Requests:

- NY mission trip: Pray for all of the church members who are on the mission trip to NY this week.

- Guatemala mission trip: Pray for Nathan and everyone who is planning to go on the mission trip to 

                   Guatemala July 21-27.

- Adam's: Praise they have a foster child Gabriel. Pray for them as they all transition to their new 

                    life together. Also, pray for Gabriel's mom who is struggling with addiction. 

- Hayes: One of their neighbors has lupus and needs prayer. Their other neighbor is going to Japan 

                     soon- pray for safety for him. Also, pray for Wes and Kerrianne as they are preparing

                     for Wes to be deployed in August.

- Farrow's: They recently found a stray dog, pray that they are able to find the owner.

- Hibbs: Jordan's mom, Becca, is having back surgery tomorrow. Pray that her surgery goes well 

                    and that she is able to have a quick/easy recovery.

- Walls: Praise that JoBeth got a new car. Pray for safety for Jo Beth and a sense of peace for 

                   Donna and Mike.

- Todd's: Casey's dad is on a medical mission trip in Peru for 2 weeks. Pray for them to have a safe

                  and productive time while they are there. Also, pray for Casey's mom who recently hurt

                  her back.

- Stalling's: Audrey's grandpa is on dialysis for his kidney's and needs prayer during this time.

Announcements:

- THIS SATURDAY, JULY 19TH: Our class is helping Habitat for Humanity. It is from 7:30am-2pm, come anytime you can. It will be located at 234 S. Willis (corner of Willis and Russell).
