Nathan brought us a wonderful lesson on Missions: When Helping Hurts. We watched a video that talked about how most Americans define poverty as a lack of material things. However, when they asked "poor" people across the world what poverty means ~90% of the responses were about relationships/feelings, only ~10% mentioned lacking material resources. Human beings are wired to experience 4 relationships as God intended/ to feel human: 1) God 2) Self 3) Others 4) Rest of creation. If you want to change a community, you need to get to the foundation of people and help them get all 4 relationships in line. The Fall of man broke all 4 relationships. Important to address peoples FEELINGS/DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS.

Prayer Requests:

- Brian: Pray for his cousin Kimberly, she had her baby at 30 weeks.

Praise that Brian's practice gets to stay in the Citibank building.

- Katy: Please continue praying for the Hanner family. Pray for Macey and baby Sadie. Pray that

Sadie's digestive system gets better and that she is able to poop regularly. Pray for

Hunter to make progress with his breathing and physical movements.

- Chalon: Pray for her office as they are preparing to move to a new location a week from

tomorrow.Also, pray for her aunt and uncle who are getting a divorce.

- Stratton: Praise that his MRI went well last week.

- Pray for Meredith and Kerianne as they recover from their Spartan race.

Announcements:

- Books, Bottoms, and Brunch: NEXT SUNDAY, NOV. 9TH during Sunday School for Katherine Rinard. Please bring diapers for the baby, a book for big sister, and a brunch item.

- Mom Life is Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 6:15. You can register for childcare on the church website.

- S.S. Thanksgiving Potluck Nov. 21 at 6:30pm at the Toogood's house. Childcare is available at the church. We will send out a food sign up list soon.

- Church wide Thanksgiving Dinner: Sunday, Nov. 23.

- Women's Christmas Dinner, Tue, Dec. 9. Our classes table is already full, but there are plenty of seats available at other tables. Contact Angie Wiley if you are interested in going.
