The fact is that the slots can be adjusted and made "tighter" but again it may come down to which machines you play, and of course where you play them. One thing for sure, there are a lot more people playing penny machines now, and it is a fact that these return a lesser percentage.

However, it's all based on luck as to when it will pay out, and who gets the money. While there are many stories of tight slots and VP, I have had some decent wins in my past few trips, and I know that a buddy of mine has hit on some very nice pays on VP and slots his past trips.
I think people who have had luck in the past get caught by the law of averages and then complain that the slots/VP are tight. You can't win all the time, every time.
