Youre a superhero in training, waiting for the call to save the world. You're also a high school senior in detention on the Saturday before graduation, but you've got more important things to do. How will you escape? Where will you go? Will you make unlikely friendships with the other seniors in super detention? Will you be the ones to save the day?
Hello! I am wondering how your superpowers, personality and ability are meant to affect your roll in this game. Do they give you a bonus? An extra dice? Or do you just roll a single dice without modifiers every time?
The various facets of your character should inform what your character would do, and what is possible for them. For instance, if you're playing a rebellious bad boy, you probably shouldn't roll to try to trick a teacher into thinking you're going to follow the rules and behave (even though there is nothing mechanically stopping you, and the only thing narratively stopping you is your character's self). Likewise, if you have superstrength, you can roll to punch down an adamantium wall, and don't need to roll to punch through a common masonry wall. If your power is teleportation instead, you'd have to roll for punching through drywall, and masonry is out of the question unless you have a sledgehammer and some time to kill.
It's a very light game, and the dice table produces a flat distribution. The further you get from 50/50 probabilities, the more likely it is you and the rest of the participants should just dictate the outcome that makes the most sense and tells the best story.
It's X-Men meets The Breakfast Club. When five superhero teens are hauled into detention at their secret training academy, they have to work together to stop the sinister Kaelus from stealing all the students' powers.
Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Able Kaelus, also simply called Kaelus, is the main antagonist of the 2017 film Super Detention. Kaelus was a superhero invited back to the Secret Super Training Academy to name his successor. Upon arriving at the school, he reveals his true intentions.
At first glance, Kaelus appears charming. His arrogance is displayed quickly, however, as seen in his brush off of Principal Hughes upon his arrival. After stealing the students' powers, he becomes even more arrogant and confident in his victory.
Kaelus was the world's first super-human. He quickly became a heroic figure, saving the world from threats which are not mentioned in the film. As a result, he served as a role model to all of the academy's students and staff. Principal Hughes invited him to pick a successor from among the students.
Kaelus arrived at the school driven by his assistant Miss Potter. His security team also accompanied him. Principal Hughes questioned why Kaelus needed security, but Miss Potter assured him it was just for extra protection. Hughes tried to introduce himself to Kaelus, but the superhero brushes past him and calls him "Hugs." He then entered the school and proceeded to the auditorium, where the students had gathered.
Kaelus and Miss Potter then asked Hughes to ready the students to take the exam. The exam was intended to judge the students based on their abilities. The students stepped up to the testing machine, placing their hands on it. Kaelus led Hughes to believe the machine simply scanned their powers and recorded them. Whichever student scored the highest would be Kaelus's successor.
Principal Hughes announced the rules of the test to the students, who eagerly stepped forward to take the exam. As the students took the exam, Hughes excused himself to oversee the students in detention. Kaelus and Miss Potter oversaw the completion of the exam. Miss Potter then informed Kaelus that all of the students had taken the exam. He thus stepped forward to address the audience, telling them the test was about preserving his legacy.
Before announcing the results, Kaelus invited the teachers to take the exam as well. After the teachers took the test, he proceeded to run the test. Kaelus paused for dramatic effect a few times as he did so. Then, he stepped forward to reveal his successor. Shocking the audience, he declared that successor to be himself. The students and teachers immediately challenged him. Kaelus, however, revealed they no longer had their powers. Miss Potter and Kaelus's security team then locked down the school, holding the students hostage. In the principal's office, he and Miss Potter met to discuss the next steps. Kaelus bragged about his plan being "perfect." Miss Potter discovered the students in detention, and Kaelus sent her to retrieve them. He later meets them in the auditorium to take the test, but they fight back as Andrasta had manipulated Miss Potter into revealing Kaelus's plan.
With Hughes and the detention students escaping, Kaelus has Miss Potter give his security team powers. He limits them to "nothing over level four," however, much to their dismay. Miss Potter and the security team then go to capture the students. Kaelus himself discovers Hughes in the principal's office contacting Mr. Kent, Hughes's predecessor and Kaelus's mentor. Kent pretends to call for backup but actually calls Kaelus. He then reveals he was in on the plan, telling Hughes he was just "securing his position." Kaelus then takes Hughes hostage and places him in the auditorium.
While the students evade his minions, Kaelus takes control of another student. Through her, he offers them a place at his side. When they refuse, Kaelus declares he will destroy the entire school, starting with Principal Hughes. The students debate the offer but decide they have no choice.
The students appear in the auditorium and ask Kaelus to free his hostages in exchange for their powers. He agrees to the deal, and they reluctantly give up their powers. Kaelus then reneges on the deal, refusing to free the students. Klon reappears and begins to fight Kaelus. During their fight, Kaelus reveals that Klon was a failed clone of his. Mr. Kent created Klon in case something ever happened to Kaelus. With the combined abilities of the entire school, Kaelus is too powerful for Klon to defeat, and Klon gives up his powers as well. Just as Kaelus begins to declare victory, he is attacked by Lunam, a werewolf. The students tell Kaelus lycanthropy isn't a power but a "curse" which cannot be taken away. Lunam subdues Kaelus long enough for the students to free Hughes. Hughes then uses his abilities to reverse the machine, giving the students their powers back. Outnumbered, Kaelus surrenders.
The final scene showed Kaelus imprisoned in a medical facility. The attendant remarks to a visitor that he met Kaelus once at a convention. The visitor is revealed to be Miss Potter, and it is implied that she is there to free Kaelus.
Miss Potter is the secondary antagonist of the 2017 film Super Detention. Throughout the film, she serves as the right-hand and assistant to Able Kaelus. She is at first thought to be a charming, kind young woman when she travels to the secret super training academy (SSTA for short) in order to help Kaelus pick his successor. However, her true intentions are revealed when the exam they use as a ruse turns out to have stripped most of SSTA's students of their superpowers. But when the revelation that Kaelus was missing 6 students dawned upon her, she aimed to hunt down and capture the misfit team of detention-goers. She is portrayed by the actress Jessica Vano.
Miss Potter is a caucasian, slim woman that is around 5 feet and 5 inches in height, with hazel eyes, long flowing brown/brunette hair which she keeps neatly tied in a braid, bright red lipstick, and a rounded jawline with sharp, defined cheek bones. Her outfit tends to consist of high heels, a black tanktop-dress that ends by her abdomen, and tight black slacks.
Miss Potter is shown to be a very loyal woman, especially to her boss Kaelus. This is shown most directly when she takes up the mission to capture the detention kids herself on his command, even if she would rather not. She is also quite serious in demeanor, decidedly not friendly and talkative to anyone unless she absolutely has to be. She exemplifies the silent but deadly character type, never normally saying much of anything when in the midst of battle. When she does speak, she is a heavy and threatening presense, especially when ordering around the security team. She can even be haughty and sarcastic when toying with her enemies, as shown when she taunted Klon during their short-lived battle. Miss Potter is arguably the brains of the villains in the film, with it being noted that she created the exam machine all by herself, and she had the foresight to think of everything that could go wrong with Kaelus' plan and make sure that it didn't. It can also be noted that she has a relatively weak will, with Andrasta easily mentally dominating her.
In her first scene, she is escorting her boss Able Kaelus as his personal chauffeur to his important speech and ceremony at the Secret Super Traning Academy (SSTA for short) that will determine who the famous hero's successor shall be. As they pull in by the school the Principal, Mr. Hughes, is there to greet his esteemed guests. Miss Potter exits the vehicle and immediately scans the surrounding area with her X-ray vision for any possible threats to Kaelus' safety. After ensuring the coast was clear, she opened the back seat door to allow Kaelus to make his long awaited entrance. As her boss strides away, he refers to Mr. Hughes as "Principal Hugs" which the latter doesn't seem to care too much about. Miss Potter follows her superior toward the school, but not before stopping to personally introduce herself to Hughes.
As the trio enter the academy, Miss Potter compliments the Principal on his success at running the place. Of course, the massive fan of Kaelus as Hughes is, he eagerly thanks her for her kind words, believing it to be the highest honor. He follows up with a motto of his "Work hard and you will hardly work.", to which, Miss Potter responds by acknowledging the statement as something she hadn't heard before. Hughes the admits that he made the saying up on the spot and informs her that he may puke from nervousness. Still straight toned as ever, she pleads with him not to, and reassures the pressured Principal that he has nothing to worry about and her boss has indeed been looking forward to visiting the school. Hughes then takes notice of the accompanying men and woman tailing them, and queries about who they are. Miss Potter reveals that they are just Kaelus' personal security force only there for his protection. The principal is confused by this statement, wondering why a famous and powerful man like Able Kaelus needed body gaurds, and she explains to him that they mainly serve as a means of keeping unwanted fans out of the way. It is implied that Miss Potter was referring to Hughes.
