14 – 20 May 2012: Washington: New Visions/ New Voices at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has assisted development of 80 new plays, musicals, and operas from 72 playwrights and 32 composers working with 51 US and 7 international theatre companies.

The submission deadline for subsidized projects is August 19, 2011.

First an apology to members who are getting this TYA News for the first time. We have just updated all our email lists and found that the one used for TYA News has missed a number of newer members. But you can read back numbers on the website (CTRL+Click on the logos above)

A Visioning Day on 1st July was a chance for England members to look hard at how they will organise themselves in future. It was agreed that meetings of the TYA England Committee will remain open to all, as the main value of TYA is solidarity between members. But people are needed to lead on key jobs, like running the website or creating events.

Elections to the TYA-UK Board are under way and self-nominations are accepted up to 5pm on Monday 25 July.

With Children For Children event at Unicorn on 19 June raised £4333 for victims of the Tsunami. Thousand Cranes TC raised £974 from sales of origami cranes while on tour.
