Texas-Oklahoma 61st District Convention Announcement!

Calling all CKI members, alumni, and Kiwanians!

It's been 61 years since the amazing district of Texas-Oklahoma Circle K International started serving our communities, and it's that time of year again to celebrate our accomplishments in service, leadership and fellowship! This year's convention will be held at the Dallas/Forth Worth Marriott in Irving, Texas, on March 6th-8th, 2015. Join us and be inspired to serve, learn more about leadership, and join other members in fellowship as we celebrate our accomplishments this past year. Help elect your new leaders and find out more about CKI while having fun as we incorporate a CIRCUS theme throughout convention.

Registration will include a two night stay at the DFW Marriott, dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, a convention t-shirt, and other amenities. Below you will find the cost of registration for CKI members:

Regular Registration Deadline: February 3rd, 2015. $180.00*
Late Registration Deadline: February 10th, 2015. $195.00*

*An additional processing fee of $7.00 will be assessed to the registration if paying online through credit card.

For CKI members that choose to pay by check, please note that we do not accept personal checks. This option is reserved for chapters that choose to pay together through a check cut by their chapter or university. Please contact us if you have any questions about this policy.

Alumni and Kiwanis registration are priced differently than CKI member registration. Please fill out the registration form, select your payment option, and be sure to choose an option that is designated for "Alumnus or Kiwanian". After that you will be taken to a page that will allow you to select events you plan to attend and how many nights you plan to stay at the hotel, you may then proceed to checkout. The 2015 Award Applications for District Convention have gone live. I highly suggest starting these applications ASAP, as many are due by Thursday, February 5. Online submission must be received by email to admin...@txokcki.org by 11:59 p.m. on February 5. Onsite awards are due Friday, March 6 at 11:59 p.m.

2015 District Officer Candidacy Package

Interested in running for a District Officer Position? The 2014 Candidacy Packet can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bb17r3a88uxqjph/2015DistrictCandidacyPacket.pdf?dl=0! All members interested in running for the positions of District Governor, Secretary, Treasure and Lieutenant Governor must fill out the required forms in the candidacy packet and bring them to District Convention in order to run for office. The packet also includes important deadlines, tips and resources that you can use while you prepare your campaign to office! Please note: Lieutenant Governor elections are scheduled to happen at Divisional Spring Rallies. In the event that a Lieutenant Governor is NOT elected at a Spring Rally, the election will be held at District Convention. Please contact your division's current Lieutenant Governor for more information about dates and locations for Spring Rallies. 

Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship!

Apply for the T-O Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship by January 24 for a chance to receive a scholarship! If applying for a scholarship, please keep in mind your attendance at District Convention is required, as the interviews will be held Saturday of convention.All scholarships have a value of at least $1,000. Take advantage of this opportunity today and make sure that you spread the word to your chapter.
