It will be interesting to see if the Earth actually has built-in self-
regulating mechanisms able to compensate for that human "civilization"
does to the atmosphere. We may actually see a return to a minor Ice Age
in which the Earth shakes off the more marginal human lice.

A recent news item talked about the resurgence of the United States as an
oil exporter. I wonder if this goes along with what we have maintained,
that oil wells are replenished at a fixed rate, so that pumping without
consideration of the replenishment rate exhausts the well, while pumping
at the replenishment rate or below keeps the well in operation.
