I had a leak on one of my intake runners so I got a new o-ring from a local
dealer. Cost was over 7 dollars with tax. Another dealer had them for over 9
dollars with tax and online was 5.60 plus shipping. I replaced it and
decided to polish up my runners insides to take out casting marks and while
I was at it, I would just change my vacuum hoses.

I have the top end of the Valkyrie all apart as I just decided to do a lot
of maintenance now instead on winter.

So, I have adjusted my valves, polished the intakes up, replaced sparkplugs,
replaced all vacuum hoses (which is hard enough to make a grown man cry)
Ordered new Honda fuel lines that are preformed instead of making them
myself to reduce likelihood of kinking.

I was going to replace the tee that feeds the carbs, but Honda wants 29
dollars plus tax for it. I went and got a brass tee to use instead for 5
dollars.

I ordered a special tool to adjust the pilot jets and hopefully it will be
here this week so I can put everything back together and adjust the pilot
jets and sync my carbs. The Valkyrie is running just a tad rich. Not much,
just a tad.

I used fuel injection rated gas line for my vacuum hoses since I think it
will hold up better than vacuum line. Hope I am right on that one. I used
expensive silicone vacuum line last time and it did not hold up well. I was
racked will deep sobbing from that first vacuum line change out that I think
I cracked a couple of ribs.

When I took the tank and pods off, I notice another runner was seeping also,
so it was a good call to do all of this.

I may replace my tank shutoff valve since Valkyries have a nasty habit of
tank valves going bad and dumping fuel into the cylinders and hydro locking
the engine, which in turn breaks a lot of internal engine shit that again
makes grown men cry. I think I have been lucky so far on the hydro lock
thing.

I might as well change the antifreeze again as well while everything is
down. The Valkyries require a certain type of antifreeze or water pump seals
will fail.

I replaced the read brake pads last week.

I went to a local hydraulic supply house and got the intake runner o-rings
(they are made of a better material than the Honda brand), that Honda wants
6 to 9 dollars each for. I was only going to have to pay .50 cents each for
them with a minimum 5 dollar sale so I just told them I wanted 12 of them.
The supply house just gave them to me because they did not want to write up
the sale. I offered money 3 times, but they just told me to take them and
go.

O-rings from Honda 36 to 54 dollars, better quality o-rings from the local
hydraulic supply 3.00/5 dollar minimum or free.

Grinding and polishing the insides of my intake runners made me really,
really happy.

I hope I can think of more things to do while the Valkyrie is scattered all
over the storeroom floor.

If I had all of my ordered parts here, I would be out riding instead of
posting all of this.

Wow Jerry. You really are more than just a pretty face. I'm so impressed.
I got nervous over airing up the tires for Obama so I am leaving them at 44
lbs instead of the recommended 45. I ain't smart enough to work on a
motorcycle.

I spent my morning treating two cases of early pyelonephritis of pregnancy,
one in a lovely chubby Mexican lady with two other wonderful children, both
born in our hospital, and another thin shakey 16 year old Mexican ?lady?
with no kids. I also managed another pyelo for one of my call partners,
counseled a lady whose baby died, fixed a bleeding wound that another doctor
miffed, did two circumcisions on adorable little monkeys, discharged 4
normal vaginal deliveries, all four Mexican nationals, Two surgeries, and
one Cesarean section. Most of this work paid zero, and what did pay will
come out of MEDICAID, a charity program funded by Democrats(BJay) out of
your hard earned but easily gathered tax dollars.

If New Deal economics had never been invented and people only got the care
they could pay for; if illegal imigrants were jailed and deported; if
doctors refused to work for free; if hospitals closed on Sunday; if Superman
would come and whip some serious Democrat ass, I would be out riding instead

of posting all of this.

Jerry, we are brothers in arms.

PS one happy note. Precision rode by my house this morning and gave me the
finger. He was on a motorcycle, looked like a Bonneville to me.

Well, seems you are a mechanic as well and have had a busy day. You just fix
women.

I hope you were able to aid in the comfort and grief of the woman that had
her child die. God sometimes does not give comfort in a timely manner and
needs help from us.

What do you use to clean all the shit off of your hands from a hard days
work? I use Goop or lacquer thinner. Just bought a new gallon today.

Does delivering babies ever get old? I don't like children.

If I did not have to pay so much tax for Illegal Mexicans and their anchor
babies, I might could pay to have my Valkyrie fixed.

I once knew a young unmarried woman in her 20's that had 4 small children.
She told me that if one of them got so much as a sniffle, she took them to
the Dr or emergency room immediately. She told me she had Medicare and some
other Texas medical give aways for breeding women and it did not cost her a
dime. She was not aware that I really wanted to stick her head in the toilet
while explaining that it cost the shit out of the rest of us.

That Precision is a sorry MoFo.

Hmmm,,under the Democratic health plan, will I be able to take my bike
over to Jerry's and have him do the brake work and 30K maintenance for
me, or will I have to get one of my less than legal co-workers to take
the bike over?

That young unmarried women you mentioned is just a caricature of a Satanic
system of error that rules in this age. It is a degrading murderous system
that engenders hatred and lays low all normal thinking humans. Nothing
ranks higher than childbearing in the list of "God given rights that bear no
accountability, must be free, and hurts no one"! I swear.

Jerry I must confess. I love it. I really do. The newborns do not know
out of whom or what or whatever they are emerging. They only know one
thing. If I cry, my environment will change, and sometimes improve. Try
that with the mighty Valkyrie.

Quote: "I hope you were able to aid in the comfort and grief of the woman

that had
her child die. God sometimes does not give comfort in a timely manner and
needs help from us."

I was just myself. I brought her and her husband another human to set close
too. She was an enormous black black women with a quick smile and lots of
lovely teeth. She had a faint aroma of a lotion called "White Musk" and her
breath was Scope or something. She was too big to embrace, and seeming to
know that, she embraced me and held my shoulders tight kinda pinning me in.
I didn't mind. Her husband, enormous in his own right, in a light brown
skin tone that showed blushing where her's could not, smiled with a kind of
whimpering sound as if he did not value his future, not one bit. He eyed
his wife tightly. He seemed certain that whatever the next moment brought
she would deal with it and then pass it to him like a bird meal. He had the
firmest hand shake, and called me Mike, despite the fact that we had never
met or been formally introduced. Some of his tears were visible on my lab
coat after I left the room. His only sentence: "it's all good".

After she held me a while, she kissed my Doctor smelling neck and thanked me
for coming by. She thanked me. I should have thanked her. I reckoned that
she was first an angel, and then maybe all our mothers and grandmothers come
back to try and take the sting out of death, an unruly unexplained sinister
event more powerful than an avalanche, and surely this morning fucking
unstoppable. At that moment I loved that women as surely as I have ever
loved any. What a pleasant young family minus one. That baby really missed
out. The enemy of God is death. I know it.

Her husband gave me one of those blue bubble gum cigars and I was chewing it
later when I got out of my car and saw the unmistakable joy in Precision's
eyes as he roared by with his finger up. I guess the dead baby was a boy,
don't you? I loved that Bonneville sound, and Precision always knows just
how to cheer me up. He is a complex sorry MoFo.

I like children. Hell, I even like Ed Hart, although he is going to shit on
me without mercy for this posting. I don't believe you don't like children.
I don't believe you don't like nobody.

We wear gloves dumbass.

Illegal Mexicans often think that we Doctors love to neglect our own
families so we can assist them in adding to their own. We don't. Never
have.

God always helps in a timely manner. I have to tell you that. He is as
some say in a different time zone. So he sends in Superman. No sacrilege
or disrespect intended. I don't know why that little baby died. It is one
of the most baffling of all things.

Do you gauge this as a motorcycle thread, or should we rename this
tx.sadsundayworkstories.motorcycle?

We wear gloves dumbass.

Pender, still scrubbing the rubber smell off my hands.

I am going to rebuild the petcock while I have the tank off and I ordered
the rebuild kit today. I also am gonna replace the timing belt since it is
10 years old. I could get one from Honda for 65 dollars or get a Goodyear
belt from Napa for 31. Napa will get it out of the warehouse by 2 today for
me. If any of you Valkyrie people want some generic parts info, here it is:
http://www.jkozloski.com/generic_parts.htm

What all did you have done for that 1900 dollars Bjay? Give us a detailed
list.

Did the Honda shop do it for you or someone else? And, for what it is worth,
if a person can wipe their butt, some of the Valkyrie maintenance is just as
simple with a Service Manual. Really is.

Took 10 minutes for me to put brake pads on the rear. 5 of them was getting
the saddle bag off. Tell us what the Dealer charged you for it.
