Universal Computer Systems, Inc. is a stable, privately owned company in business
since 1970 with 2600 employees worldwide. We specialize in the most innovative computer
solution available for large automobile dealerships. The recent acquisition of UK
based Kalamazoo Computers has led to expansion in UK and Europe
French translators needed to relocate to Houston, Texas, USA for permanent
assignments.
You will work as a French Translation Specialist in our IT Documentation Department.
Duties include:
**Developing French software manuals
**Translating a variety of software documentation products for our French-speaking
clients
**Testing and researching programs, reports, help windows, and error messages to
help validate the accuracy of the translations
**Assisting in building an internal glossary for long-term continuity of accurate
and consistent French documentation products
Requirements:
**Experience with computer systems for car dealerships
**Fluency in French and English
**Basic computer knowledge
**Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills
**Deadline-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized
**University degree is preferred
**Previous translation experience is helpful
Training involves classroom education to learn the UCS software. You will work
closely with a mentor as you become familiar with department procedures.
