Hey everybody,

I have looked around the net and found an exploded view of this gun, but
the diagram was not clear. In the parts list, however, it mentions a
magazine capacity reducer pin. I am only able to put 2 shells in the tube,
and I am under the impression that it can hold 4, but I'm not really sure.
If anyone could enlighten me as to how many it is capable of holding and/or
how to remove the plug, I would be very grateful. Thanks a lot.

Justin

Justin,

Please read this fully prior to starting on your shotgun.

Remove the barrel, remove the hand guard, remove the gas piston, clip,
ring. Now there is a tube around the magazine tube connected to the bolt
in the receiver. You will need to disconnect the linkages (fairly
simple, just don't force anything) and slide that tube forward off the
magazine tube. About 2 inches behind the gas piston, you will see a pin
going horizontally thru the magazine tube. It's in the middle of the
magazine spring. SUPPOSEDLY you can remove this and increase the
capacity. By how much? It looks like one measly round, maybe two. As
you can tell, I considered it, but decided it wasn't worth the extra
round and possibly damaging the magazine tube.

By the way, there is an "O" ring behind the gas piston that has the
tendency to turn to goo. And it's nasty stuff! Lone Star Guns in Plano
has replacements (neoprene, that won't decay to goo). They can also
clean it out. The important thing is - do not shoot it if you have that
goo in there! You will damage the magazine tube and Numrich Arms is
about the only source for parts. I have a PDF of the parts of the
shotgun. It's part #39 for the pin. It's part #38 for the "O" ring.

I tried to send you the PDF, but the email returned as undeliverable.

Good luck!
Frank

Frank,

Thank you. I will give it a shot and see what I come up with.
