Microsoft certifications and training in support of XP TPC
and related OS
Network training and certifications in support of Microsoft

CompTIA A+ hardware and software certification
Ability to understand existing and evolving technologies in
the mobile computing hardware and wireless (WAN, and LAN)
networking industries
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and
effectively utilize resources to provide the customer with
the best possible solution to meet their business needs
Excellent writing skills for supporting sales in responding
to RFI / RFPs and for business communications with customers
Positive attitude and demonstrated professional integrity
Strong problem identification and resolution skills
Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding objectives in a
hardware sales support role
Work as a team player with pre- sales support to all sales
staff
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or
equivalent experience considered)
Microsoft OS certifications
Microsoft Network certifications
CompTia certification
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Mobile Computers with wireless; Fax machines; Telephones;
Calculators; Printers; Hand Tools; Power tools; Multi-meter,
ESD equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and travel with 70 pounds of equipment;
must be able to safely use hand and power tools; must be
able to sit for 8 hours or more per day; must be able to
legally and safely drive a vehicle.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to analyze complex information; may involve
working long or extended hours; must be able to understand
and promptly apply new information; must be able to
tactfully deal with Clients and/or fellow co-workers; must
be able to retain new information and apply it accordingly.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to occasionally work evenings and /or weekends;
Job may require extensive travel 75% - 90% of the time.
Report to Vice President Sales.
Work and Travel schedule will be approved by Vice President
Sales.
Work involves attending and conducting various meetings;
Telephone and email support to sales team members; Work may
involve working outside; crawling inside and under vehicles
at customer locations; etc.
Scope: PURPOSE:
The Senior Sales Engineer will effectively provide product
consulting and technical design, engineering and
implementation support to maximize revenue, earnings and
customer satisfaction. The Senior Sales Engineer works in a
pre-sales support role and is the primary contact for all
sales staff for pre-sales product support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Focus on strategic opportunities for sales support of Our
clients products with new customers.
Collaborate with and guide sales team members on product
solutions, customer specific milestones, and resolving
customer buying objections.
Proactively insure that sales solutions are consistent
technically and with respect to process, goals, resource
allocations, etc.
Team with sales to position Our clients solutions into the
sales planning process based on particular customer
requirements.
Assist the sales team in the completion of Request for
Information / Proposal (RFI/RFP).
Provide education to Our clients customers and/or partners
on our emerging technologies through training seminars
and/or on site classes.
Assist the sales team and/or partner with completion of
vehicle audit worksheets and mounting gear selection based
on customer requirements. (Pilot installs may be completed
by Sr. Sales Engineer or Field Service Technician)
Keep up-to-date on industry standards and emerging
technology for mobile and wireless products working with our
Engineering, CTO, and Marketing departments.
