Hello everyone,

I'm excited to share that the Chicago conservation team is ready to grow with a posting for a Community Stewardship Program (CSP) Assistant now open for applications! This is a part-time (20 hours/week), permanent position at $21.68/hr. It will be another shared role between TNC and the Chicago Park District and reports to the CSP Manager. The application closes on January 19, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST (10:59 Central).

The person in this role would be working directly with the CSP Manager to support the volunteer stewards that care for park district natural areas and the more than 4000 volunteers that attend workdays every year. The work itself is varied and involves everything from ensuring volunteers have necessary supplies, to helping facilitate workdays, to engaging with the public, to battling invasive species, and everything in between. In short, this person is both a behind the scenes wizard ensuring smooth operations and an ambassador for Chicago's natural areas and the communities and people that care for them.

You can find the full description and posting on the TNC employment site with the ID of 54505. A promotional flier with the condensed info is attached to this email.

Additionally, we will be hosting two "office hour" sessions on Thursday, January 11th for interested applicants to meet the team and ask questions. They will be held via zoom and are drop in events that anyone can join or leave at any point during the hour.
