NEW! West Michigan Crew Leader – Job 54807 - The West Michigan Crew Leader will be part of a 3-person crew (1 crew leader and 2 crew members) that travels across West Michigan conducting maintenance, restoration, management, and monitoring of Conservancy preserves and partners lands. This position requires frequent travel throughout West Michigan. Travel accommodations will be provided. This is a full time, temporary position starting April 15, 2024 with a duration of 5 months.

 

NEW! NEW! Illinois Climate and Energy Associate – Job 54815 - The Climate and Energy Associate will join TNC’s Illinois Climate Team, working in close coordination with climate and government relations colleagues in Illinois and the broader Midwest region.  They will develop partnerships with state and local agencies, clean energy advocates, and the private sector to create momentum for a sustainable and equitable renewable energy buildout in Illinois and beyond.  There is flexibility for this position to based anywhere within Illinois.

 

Restoration Associate, Keweenaw Forests – Job 54768 - The Restoration Associate, Keweenaw Forests performs and participates in preserve operations including the maintenance, management, development and coordination of conservation programs and outreach across TNCs ownership in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and specifically in the Keweenaw Peninsula. This is a temporary, up to 6-month, hourly position, beginning in late April or early May through October 2024. The position will be based in the Keweenaw Peninsula and supervised out of the Marquette, Michigan office.

 

Forest Restoration Crew Member – Job 54731 – The Forest Restoration Crew will be a two-person crew working throughout the summer conducting forestry and restoration work on the Ottawa and Hiawatha National Forests in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as well as on TNC owned properties.  They will participate in specific land management activities on National Forest Lands and TNC owned lands including assisting in large scale tree planting efforts, tree planting area surveys, along with trail maintenance and infrastructure surveys. This is a temporary, full-time position lasting 4 months.   

 

Illinois Donor Relations Manager – Job 54703 - This posting will remain open until filled.  The DRM is responsible for the identification and qualification of major and planned gift prospects and assists in cultivating and soliciting donors through meetings, trips, events, and other activities.  This is a full-time position based at our office in Chicago, Illinois with a possible hybrid work schedule.

 

Indiana Regenerative Agriculture Manager – Job 54729 - This posting will remain open until filled.  The Regenerative Agriculture Manager will work with partners and funders to implement regenerative agricultural practices, including the establishment of edge-of-field and drainage conservation demonstration networksBased in Indianapolis, IN, this is currently a 3-year term limited position; however, we anticipate that successful completion of project deliverables will lead to a permanent position.

 

Illinois Ecological Restoration Director – Job 54645 - This posting will remain open until filled.  This position works primarily in the Calumet region of Cook County and other nearby sites and provides leadership and oversight for the restoration and management of the Conservancy’s Indian Boundary Prairies Preserves. Through effective partnerships within the Conservancy, among natural resource agencies, academic institutions, other environmental not-for-profit organizations, and the public, they address critical threats to natural systems and species native to the Calumet ecosystem by developing and implementing a broad range of conservation strategies across Illinois’ Calumet region and more broadly in Chicago.
