We started this group because the two-wheeler scene in SA is shifting fast. Between fuel costs, the transition to EVs, and the harsh realities of our local environment (from steep gradients to the daily headaches of load shedding), there is a lot of trial and error happening on the ground right now. We wanted a place to share what actually works.

What we talk about here:

• The Energy Debate: How are you guys keeping fleets moving during Stage 6 load shedding?

• Speaking of energy... one of the biggest discussions right now is Fast Charging vs. Battery Swapping. I was recently reading up on the swap ecosystem architectures over at https://www.motawill.com/, and it got me thinking—given our grid instability, is a decentralized swap network the only realistic way for high-mileage riders to survive? I’d love to hear your takes on this. Do you think swapping will become the standard here?
