Earl White is not just famous for his bread. He is famous for his fiddle playing and clogging. Next week he will be hosting his annual Fiddle Jam. Musicians and cloggers from all over the country will descend on Floyd to jam at Earl and Adrienne's place in Indian Valley. For many years he has been wanting to include dancing / contra dancing at this event with the talents of manyof these musicians. Thisyear we are going to try and pull it off with your help. Ada Blanken has agreed to call a dance in the outskirts of Floyd (Indian Valley) andyou are invited. The Jam runs from July 14th to the 19th. The "dance" will be on Friday, July 17th, starting around 7:00 or 7:30... whenever dinner is finished. The dance will go until 10 or 10:30. Thedance will be in a pavilion with open sides. The floor is plywood. The venue is 14 miles from the stop light in the direction of Radford. The address is: 209 Sawmill Hill Rd. NW, Willis, VA 24380. There may be no sound equipment. The dance is Free, but donations are gratefully accepted for both Ada and the cost of running this event. Let us know if you can make it!
