"I Have My Heart Set On..."

"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on
things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God."
Colossians 3:1

My daughter was writing this verse today and said "This is my new
favorite verse." I love it. There is so much in it that lifts us up.

What is my heart set on? What draws my thoughts as I go throughout my
day? God created this world and it is beautiful. As children of God,
it is our school. The place we learn how to love Him best. But, it has
been also been marred by sin. It is a temporary home for us. As
believers we look forward to our eternal home, where Christ is SEATED
at the right hand of God. The fact that it says that He is seated is
hugely significant. When do you sit down? When your work is done! This
shows that the work the Christ did on the cross completed His earthly
task. With His death on the cross, He paid the price for us to have
eternal life. After His resurrection, He sat down at the right hand of
God. Now, we wait for His glorious appearing! But until that day,

Know: I am raised with Christ. The work is complete and my sin is
forgiven
