How Can China Get Out of Its Economic Predicament?
-- Wei Jingsheng
A few days ago, we talked about Xi Jinping's stupid economic policies. He actually thought that he could get out of the economic predicament in China
by deceiving a few private enterprise bosses. This is really stupid. The private economy is indeed important, but these bosses are all production
side, or say supply side. However, the problem in China now lies on the consumption side. Especially Chinese people's living consumption is
insufficient, and the consumption level needs to be improved. If you continue to improve the supply side, isn't this adding fuel to the fire?
How can we improve the living consumption level of the Chinese people? Recently, I saw that some domestic scholars excitedly proposed to give cash to
the people. This is a measure, but the reasoning does not seem to be so adequate. Considering the current situation of rampant corruption, it
seems that it would definitely benefit corrupt officials, and the average Chinese will not get much benefit. So we still can't listen to the bad ideas
of scholars in anger. In fact, there are many effective methods by others. Don't be afraid to offend the authorities when you speak.
For example, there are reports that pensions are about to run out, and many places can no longer pay pensions in China. Everyone has to tighten
spending and dare not spend money. If more than one billion people reduce their spending a little, it will have a huge impact on the economy. Not
only the elderly, but also their children, including young people who rely on their parents, will have to cut spending. As there are no unemployment
benefits for these young people, what will the family do when their elderlies' pensions are not paid out?
Therefore, instead of putting the relief funds into the real estate market and the stock market, which will benefit the big rich who are ready to flee China,
it is better to put them into the pension funds. Give relief to ordinary people and allow the money to go into daily consumption, to solve part of the
problem of insufficient consumption. Moreover, the elderly who feel at ease to consume will also drive more deposits to flow into the consumer market,
greatly alleviating the predicament of insufficient consumption and truly boosting the economic cycle in China.
In addition to the pension problem, the inability to pay wages and benefits to tens of millions of lower-level civil servants is also a big problem in
China. Not mentioning the corruption of middle and upper-level officials, many grassroots governments cannot pay wages and are almost bankrupt, which
has been a serious problem for a long time. Most of these people's wages are also used for daily consumption. The inability to pay their wages is
also part of the problem of insufficient consumption in recent years. Solving the debt problem of grassroots governments and even reducing the number
of grassroots government personnel are also measures to solve insufficient consumption.
There are actually many similar loopholes. Solving these urgent consumption shortages can greatly resolve the economic crisis in China. On the
other hand, if you help those people with a lot of money solve their difficulties, they will not even be grateful to you, Xi Jinping. When their wives,
children and wallets are transferred to a safe place, they will be more relaxed and oppose you. What benefit have you gained? It's just a waste
of your effort.
As for those big men who have run out of China: when the economy in China collapses, if the new regime does not abide by the rule of law and is still a
one-party dictatorship, they will inevitably find some scapegoats. As you are no longer in China, and people don't need to take your feelings into
consideration, you will be the best candidates as scapegoats. Will the foreign governments protect you from being held accountable while giving up the
big fat piece of Chinese market? I can guarantee that you easily will be sent to Qincheng Prison and keep Xi Jinping company (if he is lucky enough to
be sent to Qincheng instead walking down the path of Nicolae Ceausescu).
When a regime is completely overthrown and the so-called mob rises, there will not be many opportunities to escape safely and survive. So don't dream
that you are the luckiest one. This regime is already beyond salvation under Xi Jinping's stupid manipulation. How to change the nature of the
regime and make some contributions to the establishment of a new system, atone for your sins and try to get a good ending, will be your personal way out.
As your wife and children are no longer under the control of the Chinese Communist Party, you have the conditions to let go and participate in overthrowing
the one-party dictatorship and establishing a democratic system that truly belongs to the people. This is the way out that you can choose. It
will be much more reliable than the option with small probability of fleeing with money. At the moment of great historical changes, how to choose may
be the most important thing, which is much more reliable than the huge amount of money in your hand. Learn some history and see how big the difference
could be between the right and the wrong choice.
