Han Chinese and Tibetan People Jointly Uphold the Middle-Way Approach by His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Over the past two decades, I have participated in activities to support Tibetans around March 10 more than a dozen times. Many times I participated with Tibetan friends. When I participated, I often felt that there were fewer Han Chinese friends than I hoped. Now we have another such an opportunity, not only with Tibetan friends and Han friends, but also American friends, French friends, German friends, and Taiwanese friends gathering together to commemorate this date.
We all gather not only to express our support for the Tibetans and the unity between Han and Tibetan people, but more importantly, we gather together to recognize the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Just as our Han friends hold a series of activities commemorating the June 4th Massacre around June 4th every year, we join Tibetans today. When we hold these events, we point out the CCP's array of crimes, not just against the Han Chinese, but also against everyone else as well. In fact, in 1989, the then CCP leader in charge of Tibet, Hu Jintao (who later became the Secretary-General of the CCP for the whole of China) was the first to suppress the Tibetans in Tibet with full armed forces. This crackdown showed the inevitability of the CCP's subsequent crackdown on the Han Chinese on June 4, 1989.
We are together now, and we all need to realize that the CCP is our common enemy. It is not only the enemy of Tibetans, but also the enemy of Han Chinese. There are Communist Party members among the Han people and there are also Communist Party members among the Tibetans as well. They work together for an evil party and an evil regime to suppress the people. Tibetans are oppressed just as Han Chinese are oppressed. We must always remember that our common enemy is the Chinese Communist Party.
I have met His Holiness the Dalai Lama many times, and more than once he has emphasized his Middle-Way Approach. In the current situation, there are changes every year. Amidst ever-changing circumstances, we must adhere to one thing: the Dalai Lama's Middle-Way Approach. This Middle-Way Approach is full of wisdom, which includes the Dalai Lama's insistence on Sino-Tibetan dialogue and Sino-Tibetan unity, and promotion of exchanges between ordinary people. Today is such an opportunity. I am honored to attend this conference and have such an exchange.
Finally, I would like to emphasize once again that we Han Chinese will always support the Tibetans' correct resistance activities. On the occasion of the Tibetan Uprising Day today, we Han Chinese stand firmly together with the Tibetans!

漢藏共同堅持達賴喇嘛的中間道路
--黃慈萍在2025年西藏自由抗暴日国际纪念会议上的发言
2025年3月9日
二十多年來，我十多次在3月10日前後參加了聲援藏人的活動。很多次是和藏人朋友們一起參加的。參加時，往往感到中國的漢人朋友少了些。現在有這樣的一個機會，不僅僅有藏人朋友，有漢人朋友，還有美國朋友、法國朋友、德國朋友，及台灣朋友聚在一起，來紀念這個日子。
我們大家聚在一起，不僅僅是要表達對藏人的支持，漢藏的團結，更重要的是我們聚在一起，共同認清中國共產黨的罪惡。如同我們漢人朋友每年6月4日前後，都要舉行一系列的64紀念活動。舉辦這些活動時，我們都會指出中共的一系列罪惡，不僅僅是針對漢人，也針對其他人。事實上，在1989年時，時任中共主持西藏的領導人，也就是後來中共全國總書記胡錦濤，首先全副武裝，在西藏對藏人進行了鎮壓。這次鎮壓顯示了之後中共在6月4日對漢人進行鎮壓的必然性。
我們現在在一起，的確需要都認識到，中共是我們共同的敵人。它不僅僅是藏人的敵人，也是漢人的敵人。漢人中有共產黨員、藏人中也有共產黨員，他們共同為一個邪惡的政黨、邪惡的政權對老百姓進行鎮壓。藏人遭受鎮壓，就像漢人也遭受鎮壓一樣。我們必須始終記住我們共同的敵人是中共。
我見過達賴喇嘛尊者多次，不止一次他老人家強調中間道路。在現在這種情況下，每年都有所變化。萬變之中，我們必須堅持一條，就是達賴喇嘛的中間道路。這條中間道路充滿智慧，其中也包括達賴喇嘛堅持的漢藏對話，漢藏團結，老百姓之間進行交流。今天正是這樣一個機會。我很榮幸能參加這個會議，進行這樣的交流。
最後再強調一次，我們漢人永遠支持藏人正確的反抗活動。在今天西藏抗暴日之際，我們漢人與藏人堅定地站在一起！
