Dear Your Holiness the Dalai Lama:
Your 90th birthday will come in a few days. I wish you good health and a long life.
I still remember our meeting in New York on your 80th birthday. The more than one-hour long talk made me appreciate your profound wisdom and compassion. You are my role model.
I always think that your Middle-Way Approach is the most correct policy. It is the best policy not only for the Tibetan people and culture, but also for the people and cultures of all ethnic groups. It is the best choice to unite and resist oppression, promote harmony among all ethnic groups, and achieve common prosperity. I hope that Tibetans can fully appreciate your wisdom and compassion and walk on the right path.
A few days ago, I participated in an event held by Tibetans to celebrate your birthday and drank Tibetan butter tea. Today I want to celebrate your birthday with a glass of wine since I can't chant.
