It Seems that the Genes of Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty Have Been Inherited (Part 2)
-- Wei Jingsheng
Many people have an illusion that governing a country is the same as living at home. So they seriously ruined the country. Emperor Yang of the
Sui Dynasty was very smart, but he ruined a wealthy country in this way. Why? He thought that if you have money, you should show off, otherwise
you will be invisible like wearing expensive clothes at night. In fact, he wrapped the trunk of trees with silk, and foreigners laughed at him.
There were still people who could not afford to wear clothes, so was not he crazy to show off like this?
President Xi Jinping did not wrap the trunk of trees with silk, but his modernized manner is far more than that of Emperor Sui Yang. The income of
hundreds of millions of Chinese is still below the poverty line: they can't afford to see a doctor, go to school, and even buy a grave when they die.
But Xi's infrastructure mania is just the same as Emperor Sui Yang.
Claimed for the convenience of travel, Xi built the world's longest high-speed railway, but there were not enough passengers and hundreds of billions lost
every year, including many stations that have no passengers at all. Millions of investments have been easily wasted. Why? Just to show off,
to satisfy President Xi's vanity and inferiority complex: We are rich now, let's build a few world firsts for fun.
He built the world's longest bridge, but there are few vehicles passing on it. Even the few vehicles passing on it are also to show off their wealth
and satisfy their vanity and inferiority complex. The Chinese people's hard life has nothing to do with them. You can't do this extravagance when
you manage a family; it would be resisted by the whole family.
One shouldn't do this when one is rich. Now that the economy is bad in China, doing something like this must be crazy. After so many
infrastructure maniacs, now Xi is going to build the world's largest offshore airport: a civil aviation airport in Bohai Bay. There are so many places
on land where airports can be built, yet he has to build land on the sea and then an expensive airport on it. Why? It's still because he wants to
show off. Is it necessary to not use land already there? Is it convenient for passengers to reach their destinations on land from this
airport? None of these issues matter. As long as it is the world's first, it will satisfy the little pitiful vanity and inferiority complex of Xi
Jinping.
In addition to these useless face projects, local governments in China also follow suit and build such useless face projects, which consume countless
wealth. The only benefit is that the economic data looks good and it seems that a lot of things have been produced. However, when it comes to
people's living consumption, it has shrunk greatly. So although the ostentatious face projects have raised GDP, they are not used for Chinese people's
lives but wasted. This is why the people of the world's second largest economy are still poor.
Those buildings and infrastructure maniacs have fixed a lot of wealth outside the market cycle, so the economy can only operate at a low level in
China. In the past 20 to 30 years, due to the excess profits in the US and European markets, the losses caused by useless projects were compensated, so
it seemed that economic development is still very good. But now foreign countries no longer tolerate this exploitative economic model and want fair
trade with China. So there is no excess profit to offset the waste, and the decline in economic growth is inevitable.
According to the many years' habit of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), would the CCP be able to deceive the public by relying on fabricating data?
It's useless. In the scams, at least real money was cheated from people by fraud claims. But how can they make real money by fabricating
data? Can these false data help people to eat or clothe themselves? It's just self-deception. Many knowledgeable people outside have
already given a solution for China: to increase people's living consumption, expand the domestic consumer market, and put the economy on the right track.
But Xi Jinping's clique, which is used to taking shortcuts, don't want to go to such trouble. As long as they can calculate an economic growth, then
they will just get away with it. Officials who rose from flattery can easily accept the idea of taking shortcuts, by continuing to waste through
infrastructure building, which also contributes to GDP, doesn't it? If one buries one's head in the sand, others will not see you. So Comrade Xi,
who is full of water in his brain and gets carried away, continues to follow this idea until his demise.
According to the thinking of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, what should he do after he made enough trouble in China? Show off his power to the
outside world and establish an unprecedented achievement. Emperor Sui Yang built ships to conquer Korea, and Xi Jinping is also building ships to unify
Taiwan by force. It is said that the infrastructure construction is being carried out at a speed like making dumplings. Not only will the Korean
people and the Taiwanese people be in trouble, but the Chinese people will also fall into deep disaster. The smart middle class and big capitalists are
already running away from China, with the Vice President of the country taking the lead.
