Hi there,
I'm new to twitter4r and did not find a possibility to twitter a link
with twitter4r (so that you can click on it on your twitter page, you
know :) )
Any suggestions?

Hi Sorry for the late response. There are a couple of different Ruby
libraries to use different URL shortening services, but one that is
very easy to use and I would recommend is shurl. You can download it
at:
http://github.com/marksands/shurl

Shortening URLs is out of the scope of Twitter4R, but you can send any
URL you want in a tweet using Twitter4R.
