Does what I described here http://github.com/twitter4r/twitter4r-core/issues#issue/1
makes sense?

Sorry for not responding earlier. I had forgotten to respond to the
issue on GitHub. I had already worked on a fix for this but stashed
the fix and didn't reapply it on v0.5.1 branch and only realized after
I released the 0.5.1 gem. I found the stash in my local Git repo and
reapplied the fix to a v0.5.2 branch. I am in the process of
releasing the 0.5.2 gem to gemcutter.org right now.
The one thing I forgot to do was write an RSpec example for this case
(which you so elegantly did in the issue, which was wonderful).
FYI My lack of response to your issue had nothing to do with your
issue not making sense or not seeming important, it had everything to
do with not managing my tasks on my open source projects well during a
crunch time at work. Apologies for letting this slip by.
Best,
Susan
PS Gemcutter.org should now have v0.5.2 with the fix uploaded by now.
