These are a few general tips you can use while helping translate the
site:

Keep it informal, we want Twitter to be welcoming and fun.
Keep it short. Long strings may break the design of the site.
If users ask you for help in general, direct them to the Help Center.

Please be respectful of other people's contributions. Some members of
the community have more experience with translation. For experienced
translators, please be a guide to new participants and make everyone
feel welcome.
Give us feedback via @translator! The Translation Center just launched
and we want to make it better.
Language-Specific Guidelines

In order to keep the site consistent across different products and
applications, we're applying a few common practices:

For now we address the user as 'anda' or 'kamu'.
Keep the tone informal, but do not use local or regional slang or
words that may not mean the same for others.
When viewing a phrase, please read any context notes left by the
moderator or other translators.
Twitter, Tweet, and Retweet are always capitalized (and in Indonesian,
we don't put 's' at the end of plurals).
Only capitalize sentences when they are capitalized in the English
version.
Do not translate commands or code fragments, for example %{username}.
Copy and paste code exactly as it appears in the original phrase.
For 'Tweet', we're using 'Tweet', not 'Twit'.
For the verb 'to Tweet', we're using 'menge-Tweet', not 'mengeTwit',
'ngeTwit', 'ngeTweet' or other variations.
For 'Retweet', we're using 'Retweet', not 'Tweet Ulang'.
For 'Timeline', we're using 'Timeline' not 'Garis Waktu' or 'Alur
Waktu'.
For 'Direct Message', we're using 'Pesan Langsung'.
For 'Username', we're using 'Username'.
For 'Password', we're using 'Kata Sandi'.
Please don't use abbreviations such as 'utk' for 'untuk', 'jgn' for
'jangan', because some abbreviations have multiple meanings, and may
confuse users.
If you see an error or a spelling mistake on a moderated phrase, let
us know! Leave a comment and we will do our best to change it
immediately.
If you want to provide feedback, please leave a comment on the
specific phrase.
