Since the move from Faraday to use the HTTP gem I cannot connect via a proxy. Looking here https://github.com/sferik/twitter/blob/master/lib/twitter/rest/request.rb at line 36 there is no reference to HTTP.via(proxy info...) e.g. https://github.com/httprb/http.rb#proxy-support. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks

Hi Craig,

We've actually just implemented support for proxies (https://github.com/sferik/twitter/pull/663) that should land pretty soon. I'm not sure if it'll be released as part of v5 or v6 (which is in progress). If you are willing to try using an unreleased version of the gem, it'd be great to have additional testers to confirm that it's working as expected.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

This is fantastic. However, I am having trouble with https requests when using the proxy. Not sure whether this is a http gem specific issue.

Hi Craig,

If you think it'll be helpful, can you update the pull request with the behavior you experienced so that we can troubleshoot?

Thanks
