GSOC(master thesis)

Hello everyone,

My name is Adam Kożuch, student from University of Gdansk. I aspire to take part in GsoC 2015 with Twitter as a mentoring organization. This year I will choose my master thesis topic and I would like to combine it with GsoC project(GSoC project would be practical part of my master thesis). I read on GSoC mailing list that it is possible but it depends from mentoring organization. Is it possible in Twitter?

It's early now for us participating in GSOC for 2015 (we haven't selected projects or mentors yet):

However, if you want to see the projects we have done in the past, they may be good areas for you to look at contributing a patch or two: https://github.com/twitter/twitter.github.com/wiki/Google-Summer-of-Code-2014

In the next couple months or so, we'll update the wiki for 2015 with project proposals.

In regards to your thesis, we could definitely work something out to support your work if the project aligns. We're definitely not against it, however, it would be related more to your university accepting the work for a thesis IMHO.
