Hi, all,

I want to participate GSoC 2015 twitter project, the idea I’m interested is System profiler. I’ve successfully passed GSoC 2014, the project I worked on is Type Clojure[0].

I never used finagle before, but I've already read its user guide[1], paper[2], some of underlying utils, code base. Especially Future, Promise and Stats.

I also used profile library[3] in production service before, so I think maybe I know what to expect from profiler.

So I want ask, what’s the good start point for me to contribute? Issues[4]? I want to contribute some small patches to get familiar myself with finagle. Also what code base do you recommend me to read first if I want to work on System profiler idea? And what do you expect from profiler? How to implement it? Through Stats?

Thanks,
Di Xu

Glad to hear you're interested in participating!

The only thing I'd like to ask you is to give us a couple of weeks to finalize some of the ideas on the wiki page:

We are still in the process of gathering ideas and mentors.

If you're looking to learn more about Finagle, I recommend reaching out to the Finagle mailing list:
