Prevent attaching the same behavior twice

Hi All,

I recently stumbled upon a problem where I attached the same behavior twice to one node, it turned out to be a coding error and was easy to rectify. However I was wondering if anyone out there is aware of any way to safeguard against this, be it by preventing the duplicate behavior or even just logging it out. I wondered if the registry provided anything to do this?
