I can't seem to get twitter's oauth api working. Everytime I POST to
http://twitter.com/oauth/request_token, i get a 403 forbidden with the
following body:

errorInvalid request. You didn't supply the oauth_consumer_key
parameter.request/oauth/request_token

I've tried setting consumer key in the form parameters and the
Authorization header. Any idea why this would be happening?

Also, in the oauth 1.0 spec, the only response codes listed are 400
and 401. Why would I be getting a 403?

Because our OAuth implementation isn't complete or up-to-date with the
spec. When OAuth is a supported way to authenticate to the Twitter
API I'll announce and document it here.

@alex

will be great to see oAuth being implemented and wish you guys great
succes coding it sitewide. will be a little pain in the ass for all
those apps out there, but in the end it's best for everybody.

would you already be able to give a rough oAuth completion date? like
before the end off...

thanks!

I'm also coding an App that tries to use oAuth for twitter and have
the same problem. Is there any better source for information on the
status of twitters oauth efforts than this list or twitter.com/oauth?
Like a twitter account that I can follow? ;-)
