Matt or Taylor,

Is the metadata/annotations feature released yet?

If so, is it available via the @anywhere tweet-box 'data' parameter, and if so is there any documentation?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Marc

Hi Marc,

Annotations was never released unfortunately, and consequently @anywhere doesn't have any access to the feature set. It's still possible it will have a future some day but annotations isn't prioritized at Twitter right now.

Hi Taylor,

thank u for clarification

So:

A. Is the id_str accessible to the JS client at the time the tweet is sent ? (assuming we know when a tweet is being sent, which I do in my case, and can call some function in JS API to get the id_str)

B. If the above is not possible, what is the easiest way to search the Connected User's timeline from @anywhere? or alternatively, what is the http://search.twitter.com/ JSONP url format for searching a user's timeline ?

If I can get the id_str for the tweet the user just published via @anywhere (would be nice if it was returned in the OnTweet event) then I can easily map each tweet to metadata on my servers.

Any tips would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Marc

Hi again Taylor,

Is having offsite metadata as I suggested something that Twitter does not wish to encourage?  I would understand if that's the case.

Or is it just more complex than I seem to think?

If there is anyone I can talk to at Twitter about offsite metadata please advise.

Thanks,

Marc
