Hey,

I was looking through the GSoC'13 projects under Twitter and came across Graph Compression and implementation of Layered Label Propagation Algorithm, and found it quite interesting. I plan to work on this project during the summer, irregardless of it getting selected in GSoC or not, the reason being it would be a good learning experience and would give me an opportunity to dive in to open source development.

I am a second year student at National Institute of Technology, Warangal (India) pursuing my Bachelors in Computer Science. I have taken a semester course on Data Structures & Algorithms, and implemented the data structures on C++. I started learning Scala two weeks back, liked it the moment I started coding in it. I am willing to put in effort to learn and implement this project, starting from May on wards.

What other resources do you suggest for reading? I have cloned and downloaded the Source, will be studying the source-code. This week, I will be reading compression of graphs.

Thanks
