i have created a PHP implementation of Twitch API.

If you are interested in using it, get it at https://github.com/greeny/Twitch-Php or use composer ("greeny/twitch-php": "1.0.0").

You may also look into repository to find, how are thinks done. The library is independent on curl extension.
