Chat embed flashing in Chrome

Just wondering if you guys are aware of this problem. I've checked in other browsers and they seem to be fine, but in Chrome the embedded chat seems to flash whenever new messages are added and the chat window has to scroll down. As you can imagine, this causes the chat to flash all. the. time. and is extremely annoying. I've tried to do some digging with respect to the CSS etc. but can't really pin down what the issue is. Would really appreciate it if someone who works on the chat can fix the problem! Also, gotta say, the new chat is very very cool! Much better overall than the old version (besides the flashing of course).

I actually haven't heard of this issue.  I worked on the new chat experience primarily work in Chrome, and I didn't seen it.  Can you note your OS and Chrome version?  Do you have any extensions?  Are you zoomed?

I've actually encountered this issue in my app which uses same js scrollbar lib as twitch. The bug on chrome bugtracker: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=339893. The fix for this is also mentioned there.

I am to reproduce his issues with Chrome Version 34.0.1847.116 m on Windows 8.1. No extensions and 100% zoom.

This fix worked perfectly.

Added -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; to the div with class drag-handle and the flashing disappears completely. Would be nice if this change could be made official :D
