Ok... not quite all the way there yet. However here is the details as
they stand.

The event will be held at "Lan World"
http://lanworldgaming.com/

LAN World Gaming is located in Maplewood MN about 1/2 mile south of
Interstate 694 off of White Bear Ave. We are within walking distance
of many restaurants as well as Maplewood Mall.
2645 White Bear Ave #3, Maplewood, MN 55109

651-770-0207

Start time will be around 10-11am

I will be providing pizza for the group - however I will keep myself
maxed at 8-10 pizzas if we need more beyond that we will need to pool
some cash together.

The event will cost 10$ for participants, 5$ for non-participants.

There will be a bronze-platinum tournament, and a diamond-masters
tournament.

Each tournament will start with a "group stage" 4 randomly selected
players each play each other. The top 2 players will move on to a
normal bracket. It will be best of 3 single elimination until the
semi finals where it will be best of 5, and the grand finals for each
tournament will be best of 7.

The map pool includes some of the old ladder maps, some of the new,
and some of the GSL maps. This way it will include a little of
everything and gives time for people to practice the selected maps
ahead of time. Because the map pool is pretty large and includes some
maps people may not be used to, so each player will be able to veto 2
maps they do not wish to play until the grand final.

The official map pool. Xel'Naga Caverns, Shakuras Plateau,
Metalopolis, The Shattered Temple, Backwater Gulch, Typhon Peaks,
Terminous RE, Crossfire, and Tal'Darim Altar.

This will mean there will be enough maps until the grand final where
each player may eliminate 1 map of their choice.

The diamond-masters tournament will recieve 66% of the prize pool.
33% for the bronze-platinum. There will be 3 places paid for each
side so in a 150$ prize pool scenario:

diamond masters: 1st: 50$ 2nd: 30$ 3rd: 20$

bronze-platinum: 1st: 25$ 2nd: 15$ 3rd: 10$

After the group stage we will have a 1 hour break for pizza/restroom
breaks/play other games.

Then after the 1 hour break play will continue until the finals and
award ceremonies commence.

After the award ceremonies we will hold a drawing for a few prizes...
the more sponsors we get the more prizes we can have to give away. I
would encourage anyone and everyone who has a place of business in
mind feel free to ask them if they would be interested in sponsoring
the tournament i.e. giftcards, gamer merch (headsets/games/etc), or
anything else. In turn they will get several shout-outs on our live
stream - and to the group as a whole for supporting e-sports.

Other than that if there is anything to add let me know. Stay tuned
in the next week there may be a few small changes but this is the
"rough draft" for the official announcement.

Thanks for your time and have a good one!

Hey nush thanks for the call... i'll give you a ring tonight when i
got a better idea about how many will be coming... I'm going to start
a new topic to see who plans to come and how many of their friends
plan on coming... I've been busy with midterms so sorry i've been a
little difficult to get in touch with in the last few days.

thanks!
