This is my first exposure to google groups, so excuse me for my lack
of knowing.

Reply means reply to the discussion...that seems obvious.

Reply to author must mean "send a personal message". But, at first I
thought that meant indent it a little under the author's discussion
post so it looks like you are replying to a particular post instead of
the entire discussion. Wrong thinking on my part. And, the weird thing
about this is that it just seems to go off into cyberspace without a
record.

So, I must have sent a pm to somebody when I was really trying to post
a message. There are only 3 members here, so i sent to PJ or Snak
Shak...I can't remember who. And, of course, there is no record of
sending anything on my end. So, whichever one got my message, can you
forward it back to me so I can post it? Thanks.

I'm not sure I'm like this Google Groups thing.

Yeah this Google group thing is weird to post on >.>

I am possibly a strong maybe for the Saturday ride on the 18th (so,
take my vote with a grain of salt). And, I'm not sure at all about the
Sunday ride...its Fathers day and I expect to be showered with gifts
and attention.

Saturday's south side ride sounds great. Snak Shak...I think you
mentioned (on mpsbikelove) riding over the Mendota bridge and up along
the river to Lilydale. I think that would be a great idea....or, if
there is a lot of southside riding, maybe just to Mendota.

Thanks.

The only thing I like about Google Groups is that it's free. It's also
good for the email notification features, so you can just sit back and
get notified of stuff. I have a book club that we run on Google groups
as well and it's good enough for that, but it's not a very pleasant
experience to use it.

We could make a FaceBook group as well? It might get the word spread around faster, too. Are you both planning to be at the Antique bicycle show / swap meet tomorrow at Peen Cycle in Bloomington?

I agree...facebook is better.

I do plan on attending the Antique bike show...probably earlier than
later...I think it starts real early, like 8am or something. My
experience with bike swaps have been under whelming. So, I'm not
expecting to stay too long.

Done. I don't think Mark Stonich does FB, but let's have that be the
"official home" since it's easier to use. I don't want to have
messages all over the internet - too much to keep track of and
eventually we'll screw something up and have a mis-hap at a ride start
or something.

I think you need to become a "Fan" or "Like" the page to get access to
it....

See you over there.
