to Rustic Woodworking
I am nearing completion on my log home and into lots of trimwork now.
Along those lines I would like to try my hand at some rustic switch
plates with some apple wood I have. I have branches that are 4" on up
in size and would need to make some thin slices out of them. I have a
radial arm saw as well as a sliding chop saw. What I think in need is
to make a jig or clamping system for the branches to sit in while I
make some thin slices that are the size of a switch plate. I would
then use a template and router for swtich and outlet shapes. I am
looking for any tips, ideas, or sources of information that I could
use for making a jig/clamping system for medium size branches? Thank
you!
