Hi guys,
I hope you are doing well.
Some of you know about the Internet Society (ISOC). ISOC is a nonprofit organisation founded in 1992 to provide leadership in Internet related to standards, education and policy. Many countries around the world have local ISOC chapters that replicate ISOCs work in the local society.

ISOC has been providing training and leadership opportunities to many Kenyans. These Kenyans have come together to form a local chapter. They are inviting other people interested in Internet Governance to join in the formation efforts.

Attached here (in inline text) find a write-up inviting you to join the mailing list that will discuss the formation. It is an exciting time to join as everything is still in the pipework and anyone who joins now will pioneer in shaping the proposed local chapter.

You can find more information about ISOC here: http://www.isoc.org/isoc/

Please feel free to ask me whatever you do not understand, I will be happy to help. Otherwise, please join the mailing list as per instructions below.

Thanks and kind regards,
Grace

Dear Colleagues,

There has been growing interest on various lists to have a local ISOC Chapter up and running, we have had many Kenyans participate in ISOC programs as fellows, unfortunately we haven't had a forum where we can share the knowledge and experiences gained through the fellowship opportunities. The purpose of this email is to invite all interested parties to join a mailing list that has been created to bring together interested stakeholders so that we can deliberate on how to establish an open and inclusive ISOC chapter that will be based on  a multistakeholder model. Kindly note that we will be required to be global ISOC members as a prerequistite.https://portal.isoc.org/EBusiness/NewMemberStepOne.aspx. Below please find instructions on how to join the mailing list.
