The Caucus for Women's Leadership is the Kenyan Focal Point for EASSI,  the Eastern African Sub-regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women, which is a sub-regional civil society organization established in 1996 to facilitate systematic follow up of the implementation of the Beijing and African Platforms for Action (BPFAs) emanating from the Fourth World Conference on Women, held in Beijing China in 1995.

 

EASSI is a collaboration between individuals, NGOs, coalitions and networks committed to the advancement of women. It is registered in Uganda as a Non-Governmental Organization and currently works in eight countries namely: Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda.
