Help a New user- my HTML published story is a whole bunch of garbled text

Using Twine to create case studies for nursing students and when I try to publish, the HTML comes up as a string of garbled text that looks like code. I am currently using Google Drive to host the file.
Any solutions so I can share the story with my students?

Which version of Twine are you using, Twine 1 or Twine 2?
The finished, ready-for-the-web files are saved differently depending on the version you are using, so my mind starts there for troubleshooting.
This is a *very* interesting use for Twine!
