VBA tool using twebst without installing

We just created a VBA tool with the help of twebst that will be deployed for admin stuff for our team. However, my other non-developer teammates are asking if is there anyway we can use the tool without installing twebst?

Perhaps will it be possible by just copying an extension or dll?

Hi,

Short answer: no.
You'll need admin rights to run the installer or to manually register (with regsvr32.exe) OTWBSTPlugin.dll and OpenTwebstLib.dll
You can look into the NSIS installer in the source tree to see what the installer is actually doing.

Hi Adrian,

also me I have the same problem: unfortuntelly no right for installing Twebst sw but I can't.

 

I've tried to link into Microsoft Accss references to "OpenTwebstLib_x64.dll" and "OTWBSTPlugin_x64.dll" files but it appears an error in "Dim core As ICore" line that Activex cannot create object.

 

Is there any solution yet?

Same issue.  We did manually register dll successfully and can turn on reference in Excel VBA.  But still get Run-time error '429'  ActiveX component can't create object.

VBA line is

Set core = New OpenTwebstLib.core

Any help would be appreciated.
