Thanks for your answer, but I bought an Apple TV today and during the configuration process it requested my Apple ID...until then everything Ok but when I tried to get to Netflix the only option to open it is login with an Apple ID or buy a new one.

If you are signing up for Netflix on the Apple TV then that will be connected to your Apple ID. If you don't yet have an account and don't want to use your Apple ID then you will need to sign up via the Netflix website. If you already have an account then just login using those credentials.

The Apple ID is used for iTunes movies, music and tv shows as well as App Store downloads and homesharing local media. all apps are developed and supported by the content owner and will have seperate logins. For the sample, you can download the fox now app and watch clips but it requires an active cable/satellite subscription for full episodes. Netflix is a seperate company and has a seperate subscription account - you get 7 days free before they charge you.

That was originally the case when Netflix appeared on the older machines - later you were allowed to sign-up for Netflix services (for AppleTV/iOS devices) directly using your Apple ID for payment on a rolling basis with a 30 day free trial (in UK, maybe different elsewhere).

I have X1 service and my own netflix account. I watch Netflix using my own account through the X1 Netflix Apps. Last week when I had a whole system refresh, when I go to Netflix Apps it automatically login with another user account (I don't know who she is but I can see her netflix registered email address and profiles). I acn watch netflix with her account but I want to use my own account. Comcast tried resetting the box, I reloaded the app and as soon as it comes up, it uses her account. I can force logout the account from the X1 DVR box (Arris AX103ANM) and login with my netflix account. But as soon as I logout, it switches to her account. Second problem is from the small companion tv boxes I use in other TVs, I cannot login to Netflix with my account. It piggybacks to the main DVR box and it thinks her account is the main account.

call during daytime east coast time 800-comcast and select billing. explain the problem to the agent and ask them to remove and reprovision your account then add the device back to your account. fixed?

I just got off with the customer service folks. They will try a full reset of my account at 2 am today. Will take approximately an hour and then I can check. They also scheduled a tech visit (although its restricted due to covid-19) between 1 to 3 pm later today. If the full reset works, then I can just cancel the appointment. I will post the results here.

Can I set up my Chromecast TV using my google email, but redeem my Netflix credit that is linked to a different email account? Or do I have to set up my Chromecast TV using the same account that is already linked to my Netflix account?

Hey @NoCages you can set it up that way if you'd like without any problems. The only annoyance you will probably find is that using voice for Netflix might cause a hiccup as your Home app is under one account and Netflix is under another. The linking may have improved since the launch -- but early on, I ended up switching my Netflix account to the Nest account to be able to use voice commands.

Offer subject to change. Receive Netflix Standard with ads while you maintain 1 qualifying Go5G Next, Go5G Plus or Magenta Max line or 2+ Go5G or Magenta lines in good standing. Netflix account, plan availability & compatible device required. Alternative discount toward different Netflix streaming plans may apply. Not redeemable or refundable for cash; cannot be exchanged for Netflix gift subscriptions. Cancel Netflix anytime. Netflix Terms of Use apply: www.netflix.com/termsofuse. 1 offer per T-Mobile account; for existing Netflix members it may take 1-2 bill cycles during which time you will continue to be charged separately for any existing Netflix account. If you link an existing Netflix account to this offer, terminating the qualifying line(s) will not automatically cancel your Netflix membership, and Netflix will automatically resume charging your existing payment method that they have on file. With Netflix Standard with ads you can watch on up to two devices within a household at the same time. You can upgrade to Netflix Premium and watch on up to four devices in the same household at the same time for the discounted rate of $16, through your T-Mobile bill. Visit this page to upgrade now.

Log into My.T-mobile, select Account, and then select Manage add-ons. On the Manage data and add-ons page, add Netflix in the Services section. T-Mobile pays Netflix directly for you. For customers with an existing Netflix account, it may take one or two Netflix billing cycles for your billing to transfer to T-Mobile.

Please add the ability to select from multiple accounts (similar to netflix profiles) when the twitch app is opened (android tv doesn't have this, at least, not sure about other tv apps). I share my television with family and it's a pain to log out and back in every time someone else uses the television.

I was using a relatives Netflix who no longer has the package so I have now signed up to HD and have Netflix included. How do I change this on my sky Q and set up an new account as does not seem an option to log out.

Hi there @Will+Sussex You need to go to help section on the Netflix app and there is a sign out option there.
Once you have signed out you can reboot your Sky Box and go through the activation process.

I have the same issue as the person above. We've been using my daughter's account but now need to change this. I've tried logging out & rebooting my Sky Q box twice but my Netflix app still appears to be connected to my daughter's account, does it take some time?

No, it logs out but then if I go back into it, I'm logged in again. I had also lost access to Netflix but now it's back again, most bizarre. I'll get my daughter to check that she has access later! It's been ridiculous to sort out, I spoke to 2 different people at Sky today & neither could help!

I am new to multiple Rokus. We are moving into new house and I have purchased Rokus for each room. When setting them up I understand that I can have them all connect to a single account or I can create individual accounts for each?

Even your Roku devices are connected to a single account, you can still view or watch different channels/contents at the same time. The purpose of linking them to just one account is to make sure that you won't be double-billed for any subscription that you will sign up for.

@iwasbutter1st, in addition to what @Strega said, if your subscriptions to the various streaming providers are directly with the provider and not through Roku then it doesn't matter what Roku account your devices are linked to.

If you've already set up the devices then you can verify the Roku account on each one by going to Settings->System->About and viewing the email address. You can also see what devices are linked to a Roku account by going to and scrolling down to "My linked devices". There is no way to change the Roku account on a device other than factory resetting the device.
