Bike to Market Day!

Hello,

Yes, it's been a while.  I had some health challenges and two surgeries to recover from, but I'm back on my feet (errr.. seat ;) so you'll be seeing me on rides again soon.

I have just accepted the job of manager for the Tacoma Proctor Farmers' Market.

We are in the process of obtaining bike racks (an Eagle Scout project) and I am hoping to encourage biking to the market.  (I am riding my bike to work and had my website photo taken with my bike)

Since the Twilight Criterium is moving to Proctor this year on June 30th, I thought this would be a good day for the event. Although the market will be over by the time the race starts, I thought it might be a great day to feature the Tacoma Wheelmen in a booth space at the market. (I've seen several folks there in desperate need of a helmet fitting; I had to do one for a board member last week)

I have already spoken to Janet Higbee about leading a ride that day, ideally starting at the Proctor Starbucks and ending back at the market (details still need to be worked out)

I would love to get the club scheduled for the booth space if the current leadership is interested.
