Brave 搜尋引擎

雖然標著 beta 版但其實還算好用。中文日文搜尋結果都尚可。

搜尋「yaosobi 夜にかける」跟「yaosobi 夜にかける 中文歌詞」的前幾筆結果
都還不錯。

光看介面有點像 duckduckgo，也有個可以切換「地區」的選單。但這個選單內容
無法空白，預設看來是依 IP 自動偵測地區。

搜尋「蔡依林的部落格」的話就要選擇台灣地區才會看到那些「令人懷念的搜尋結
果」。（不知本店何時會重新開張？）

稍微比一下搜尋結果搜尋結果與 Google 及 duckduckgo 都有點類似。
感覺起來有點像是 meta search。

依照這頁面的說明，他們有建自己的索引 (Brave's independent index of the web)：

> The search results independence metric is the percentage of searches,
> across all result types (web, news, images, videos), that are served
> directly out of Brave's independent index of the web. The remaining
> percentage come from anonymous API calls to third parties.

但也有將一些來自其他地方 (Google | Bing) 的搜尋結果混進來：

> parties—namely Google and Bing—and mixed in your browser to maintain
> privacy.

所以也確實有一些 meta search 的成分。但主要是依賴自家的後端。

這做法與 duckduckgo / startpage 等其他強調隱私的搜尋引擎的做法就不太一樣了。
