Dark Colony Hints


HUMANS

Red Landing: Scenario #1

Overview:

Colony at Chryse Basin is under
attack. Your squad is deployed at the only
activated drop ship beacon
located near the entrance to the basin. Your squad
must 1) locate and reactivate two
more drop ship beacons and 2) locate and
secure the mining colony. You
must accomplish this in a limited amount of
time without getting your
squadron commander critically wounded.

Play:

First, move your squad
north around the first bend. Follow the bend as it
turns to the right.
You'll encounter a small group of three aliens. Quickly
dispatch these aliens .
You'll find that it is best to concentrate all of your
fire onto one
individual alien unit at a time and pick them off one by one
with mass fire.
Continue on east toward
the next drop ship beacon. Activate the beacon by
left mouse clicking
onto it. After you activate the beacon, more of your
combat troopers will be
deployed. Use them along with the rest of you
troopers to fight the
aliens that are nearby to the east. Remember to use
your commander to
occasionally rally your troops while in combat.
Next, move you entire
squad toward the upper left hand portion of the
map. Engage all aliens
you encounter and activate the second, and final,
drop ship beacon. Once
this last beacon has been activated, quickly move
your team east toward
the upper right hand corner of the map and secure
the mining colony that
is presently under alien attack. This will end the
Red Landing scenario.

Base Camp Alpha: Scenario #2

Overview:

Your squad must begin mining
operations in the Sen Fields, located in the vast
deserts of Mars. Once you arrive,
you should begin mining operations
immediately. Your mission
objectives are: 1) Guard and protect your
communication satellites under
all costs. 2) destroy all aliens in the area, and 3)
Protect mining base until you are
relieved by the next commander.

Play:

Immediately select and
deploy your Exploiter unit onto the Petra-7 vent
that is active just
southeast of your base. When you deploy Exploiter units
to mine active Petra
vents, be sure to always guard them with at least 2 or
3 Foot Troopers.
Next, move the three
troopers just west of your base over to the mouth of
the communication
satellite area. Protect this area from all alien assaults.
You can do this quite
effectively with about 10 Foot Troopers. Use your
commander and the few
troopers that are with him to scout out the area
around and to the north
of your base. You'll find a Petra vent that will
eventually go active in
the upper right hand corner of the screen. Leave
one trooper at this
vent to monitor when it goes active. Build and deploy
an Exploiter to this
vent when it erupts.
The first thing you'll
want to do is upgrade your troopers armor and
weapons. Be sure to do
this before you purchase any other units.
Afterwards, when you
have 2000 points of Petra 7 mined, build a Sci-Pod
then build a Robot
factory with your next 2000 and then start buying
Reaper armor units.
Once you have 10 Reapers, position them around
your base and prepare
for a massive Alien invasion.
After you have built
your Reapers, build 12 Foot Troopers and make an
attack with all 12 plus
your commander to the south of your base near the
other Petra vent. Kill
all the aliens, then fall back and prepare to defend the
base. Continue to
purchase as many armor Reaper units as you can before
the final alien
invasion of your base camp.


Allied Intervention: Scenario #3

Overview:

An Aerogen exploration team has
discovered an area rich in Petra 7 located in
New Vladavostok. This area is
infested with Aliens. We will be given equal
mining rights in the area if we
help to protect the Aerogen Blue camp and
destroy all alien life in the
area.

Play:

Immediately deploy your
Exploiter unit over the active Petra vent, then
build a Robot Factory
and upgrade it as soon as possible. Send all current
Reaper units along with
a few Foot Troopers west, over to the blue
Aerogen camp. Make
these units patrol in a circle around the Aerogen
camp. These units will
be all you need to send to help defend the Aerogen
camp through the entire
scenario.
Build 4 Firestorm units
and send them north, above the camp and set them
up around all the Petra
vents in this area. Build at least 2 Exploiter units
and send them up into
this area. It is a good idea to set them over inactive
vents as they will
become active sooner or later. Remember to protect
your Exploiter units
with at least 2 or 3 Foot Troopers each.
Upgrade your Foot
Troopers and Reaper units in both weapons and armor
then start building as
many Reaper units as possible. Once you build them,
send them to the area
with all of the Petra Vents. Once you have
accumulated many units,
send them off to attack the Alien base camp to
the northwest.


Island Assault: Scenario #4

Overview:

We have received a transmission
from Stratus Corporation asking us to locate
one of their commanders that has
disappeared somewhere in the Allusion
Islands. We have a mining
operation in the area, so we have agreed to assist
them in their search. Your
mission objectives are 1) to locate the missing
Stratus commander and, 2) destroy
the enemy hive.

Play:

First move your
Exploiter unit onto the active Petra-7 vent to begin
mining. To find the
lost commander, send a Reaper and Foot Trooperunit
north across the island
bridge, then west across two more island areas.
You'll find the lost
commander here. Also note the Petra vent in the area.
Keep your Reaper and
Foot Trooper here to protect this vent and build and
send another Exploiter
unit ASAP as this vent will become active shortly.
You'll need to send at
least two firestorm units to this vent for protection
quickly so build up
your sci-lab and robot factories ASAP.
To win this scenario,
you'll need to island hop one island at a time north
toward the alien hive.
You'll find that each island area is guarded by 2
alien Xeno-wort units.
Take these units out at long range by using your
Osprey flying units as
spotters, then use your barrager artillery units and
attack them at long
range. Remember, humans see much better than aliens
do during the daylight
hours. Time your barragers during these hours and
you'll make much better
headway against the aliens.
Send a sizable force
along with your Barragers to protect them as you hop
island to island. Try
your best not to engage the enemy at close rangers.
Instead, engage almost
exclusively with your artillery pieces at distance.
You might have to send
a few waves of these types of attacks, but you
will wear the enemy
down quickly.


Darkest Hour: Scenario #5

Overview:

Our Allies, Stratus, have finally
cornered the aliens. Their intelligence has
discovered what they believe to
be the aliens main hive. Stratus assures us that
if we assist them in destroying
this hive, the alien threat will be no more, and
Mars will once again be safe for
all humans. Your mission object is to destroy
the alien hive.

Play:

Again, start by
deploying your Exploiter unit over the active Petra-7 vent.
Next, build your
Sci-Lab and Robot factories and upgrade them to max.
You'll need to
reinforce the bridge like area to the left of your main base
with 2 Firestorm units.
After you have the Firestorms out, upgrade your
weapons and armor to
maximum for Reaper and Foot Trooper units.
This scenario is very
straight forward with only one slight twist. You need
to out mine the aliens,
amass at least 15 Reapers and 15 troopers and then
attack the alien hive
in force. Never send any forces out to attack until you
are ready for an all
out assault. The trick to this scenario is to not
completely destroy the
alien hive until you are prepared to fight off Stratus
as well.
The moment you
completely destroy the alien hive, Stratus, in league with
the aliens, will attack
your base with drop troops. Three Petra vents
become active the
moment you destroy the alien hive as well. Before you
completely destroy the
alien hive, send Exploiters to the Petra vent in the
upper left hand corner
of the map, below Stratus' base in the bottom left
hand corner of the map,
and also to the north above your own base. Be
sure to reinforce all
of your Exploiter units with 2 or 3 Foot Troopers.
You'll also want to
keep some fighting units at your main base as Stratus
will attack your base
with drop troops the moment you wipe out the alien
hive. Once the alien
base is almost completely wiped out send all your
troops except for one
Foot Trooper(who will finish off the alien hive)
down and surround
Stratus' base. You might have to send a second wave
to finish off Stratus.
Try to also keep
healthy, upgraded Reaper units near Stratus Firestorm
units and Barragers for
protection.

Ancient Legacy: Scenario #6

Overview:

You have been captured by the
alien grays. Your mission objective is to escape.


Play:

First clear out the Bio
wall south of your cell and kill the alien guard
patrolling nearby. Go
east to the next cell and free the POWs you find
there. Be sure to set
your actions to MOVE ONLY. It is very important in
this scenario not to
engage the enemy except where necessary. You'll want
to run past all the
aliens you can. Only engage aliens when you are freeing
POWs. Use the POWs as
'shields' to draw alien fire away from your
commander.
After you collect the
first group of POWs, go south, then make a quick
turn to the east and
move south again down a long hallway. The hallway
will turn west. Follow
it west through a 4-way intersection containing
many 'cocooned' POWs.
This passage will eventually dead end on the
west side into a
north/south passage. Go south and follow the passage as it
turns east and then
follow it back north again.
Clear out the Bio wall
you encounter of the right side of the passage and
rescue the POWs inside.
Continue back north up the hallway and follow it
to the east. Take the
second right hand passage and go south and follow
this passage until it
turns west. You will see the exit under the purple
passage way lights.
Enter and move into the door to the north, then go
back and walk onto the
icon on the floor.


Retribution: Scenario #7

Overview:
Your next mission is to lead your
troops in the Bentok mountains, where we
have picked up a distress call
sent by an Aerogen base. It seems that Aerogen
will not last much longer against
the aliens. Your mission objective is to aid
Aerogen in their fight to destroy
the alien hives.

Play:

Immediately start
mining Petra-7 with your Exploiter unit. You will want
to build 2 more
Exploiters immediately. Send one along with 2 or 3 Foot
Troopers for escort
north along the far west side of the map place the
Exploiter onto the
inactive vent and it will start producing them it erupts.
Send the other
Exploiter unit, along with escort, south east across the land
bridge to a small
island area containing another vent. Both of these vents
will go active shortly.

Next, build a Sci-lab
and robot factories after you have placed your
Exploiters and start
fortifying your base camp and Aerogen's camp with at
least 4 firestorms
each. Once you have a defensive parameter set up
around both bases,
start building Reaper units and quantity. You'll need at
least 15 Reaper units
and 10 Foot Troopers. Before you send them off to
make your first attack,
upgrade their weapons and armor to max.
There are two different
alien hives that need to be destroyed. It is best to
destroy the base in the
lower right hand corner of the map first as this is
the stronger of the two
bases. Once you take it out, the rest of the scenario
finishes easily. Before
you start the attack, build a research facility and use
an Exploiter to mine
over the artifact symbol. There are two artifact sites
on the map. One is just
west of your base; mine this one first, and the
other in the upper
right hand corner of the map.
Use the artifacts to
take out the enemy Xeno-wort units that are protect the
alien hives, then send
your troops in mass force.


Shattered Front: Scenario #8

Overview:

The Brownbill swamps is where we
need your immediate help. Your base as
well as Aerogen's have been
victims of numerous violent alien attacks.
Aerogen's bases have been
completely destroyed. You must salvage any
Aerogen units you find then bring
your base back online. Your mission
objective is to destroy all enemy
hives.

Play:

You must play this
scenario in an almost completely defensive posture.
First, use a flyer unit
to round all of the Aerogen units scattered about.
Send these units
directly back to your base camp. Quickly build a Sci-lab
and Robot factory.
Upgrade them to maximum and start building
firestorm units. Build
at least 10 firestorm units and place them just to the
west of your base in a
defensive line. Build at least 4 artillery Barrage
units and move them in
just behind the Firestorm units. Finally, move
your healer units
behind this line, away from possible enemy attack. These
healer units will keep
your defensive line solid throughout the entire
scenario.
Upgrade your Foot
Troopers and Reaper unit's weapons and armor to
maximum and them start
building Reapers and Foot Troopers. DO NOT
leave your home base.
While you are defending you base, send an Osprey
flying unit scouting
all over the map. Once you build a Research facility
(after you have
completely fortified your base) you will notice two artifact
sites. One in the upper
left hand corner of the map, and another in the
lower left corner
beneath the enemy hive.
Stay defensive until
the enemy doesn't send out anymore raiding parties.
When this finally
happens, send an Exploiter off to mine the artifact
symbol in the upper
left corner of the map. Use these artifacts to take out
the alien hive in the
lower left corner of the map first. Try to concentrate
on taking out the enemy
Xeno-worts first if possible, then attack the base
with all of your units.
You will not have to keep anything back to defend
your base except for a1
or 2 Foot Troopers.
Once this base is
destroyed, mine the other artifact symbol to the west and
use it against the
alien base to the north just before you are ready to attack.
Be sure to heal all of
your units before you send them off to take out the
final base.


Extermination: Scenario #9

Overview:

We have uncovered what appears to
be an Alien breeding farm in the Sundarr
forest. We have reason to believe
the aliens have constructed a powerful hive to
protect these breeding pods from
attack. You must locate and destroy the entire
network of breeding pods as wells
as the alien hive. As an extra bonus, you're
going to get a chance to pay
Stratus back for their past betrayal as well. You
mission objectives are: 1)
Destroy 12 breeding pods and 2) destroy Stratus and
the alien hive.

Play:

You'll need to
immediately build and deploy an Exploiter unit over the
active Petra 7 vent
just West of the base. Once this is accomplished, build
a Sci-pod and robot
factory and upgrade them to max. Move your
commander and other
troopers to the east side of the base to hold off any
stray enemy units for
the first few minutes of the scenario.
Build another Exploiter
unit and send it along with a Foot Trooper down
south. You'll find some
ruins, where an artifact may be excavated later,
and another Petra-7
vent that will go active very soon. Once you have
accomplished this
preliminary setup, you'll need to heavily fortify and
protect two key areas
on the map.
First, fortify the
pathway just east of your base. Build and place at least 5
Firestorm units on the
right side of the pathway just east of your base.
Hold this area at all
costs! Setup at least 4 artillery pieces behind the
Firestorms. Later, when
you have the time, you'll want to build Healer
units and deploy them
along this defensive line to keep the position strong.
The next position to
fortify is north of your base. The best area for the
placement of your
Firestorm units is just northeast on the right hand side
of the pathway in the
land area just above your base. You'll pass a Petra
vent nearby that will
go active shortly as well. Set this area up just like the
other defensive
position and hold onto it tight. Build and deploy an
Exploiter unit as soon
as you can, and don't forget to deploy a few healer
units around this
position as well.
You'll want to make
your first attack against Stratus. Try and accomplish
as soon as is possible.
You'll need to first mine the artifact area south of
your base. Look for the
purple artifact icon and send an Exploiter out to
excavate it. Remember,
before you can locate artifacts you have to
purchase a research
facility. Once have all the artifacts from this site, send
them off to destroy the
Stratus Xeno-wort units around their base. The
Stratus base is
directly to the far east from your base.
Amass as many Reapers
and Foot Trooper as you can and send them off
to take out Stratus'
base. Once you take out Stratus, mine the artifact area
nearby and use the
artifacts to take out the alien Xeno-wort units in the
upper right hand corner
of the map. Heal your units to full, then send them
north to take out the
alien breeding pods and finally on to take out the
Alien hive.


Silent Strike: Scenario #10

Overview:

Our intelligence has discovered
what may very well be another entrance to the
underground. It is believed to be
heavily guarded by an alien stronghold
complex. Your mission is to
destroy the alien hive and investigate the area
where we believe the underground
site is located.

Play:

You must first set up
defenses very quickly in this scenario. To begin
with, move your
Exploiter over the Petra-7 vent that is active and start
mining ASAP.
Next, move your Osprey
flying unit just east of the base to locate the
enemy Petra mine in
operation. You'll need to move the Opsrey to a safe
location that is still
in visual range of the enemy Exploiter. The moment
you locate the enemy
mining operation, command HQ will drop a Sarge
unit nearby. It is
important to move the Sarge unit away from enemy line
of sight. Try to keep
all of your Sarge units hidden if possible. Once you
have positioned the
Sarge unit, have him start stealing from the enemy
mining operation.
Take the other two
Osprey flying units and do the same as above to two
other enemy mining
operations. You'll find one near the middle top
portion of the map and
another on the far right hand side of the map half
way down. Set these
Sarge units up ASAP to start receiving resource
points.
After you have
accomplished setting up the three Sarge units, start
building massive
defenses. Do not start exploring the map until you have
your defenses in place
as this will trigger an early enemy attack on your
base. You'll want to
build a Research facility so you can build healer units
to place around your
defensive positions. The best defensive units to
purchase are Firestorms
backed up with artillery Barrager units.
Its a good idea to use
Reapers in squads of 5 to hunt down alien Atrils,
otherwise the alien
Atrils will wear down your Firestorms from a distance.
Once you have your base
'secured', send off three Exploiters (which will
be drop shipped to your
base eventually) to mine the vents that are north,
south, and east of your
base. Always send at least 1 or 2 Foot Trooper
along to protect your
Exploiters. Finally, start building Reapers and Foot
Trooper in mass
quantities. Be sure to upgrade your Reapers and Foot
Troopers weapons and
armor to max. Once you have a sizable force, send
your attacking force
off to the south to take out the enemy base.


The Prize: Scenario # 11

Overview:

You need to find the area that
holds our captured POWs and try to rescue as
many as possible. Any of our
soldiers that are under alien control should be
exterminated with extreme
prejudice. Your mission objectives are to rescue as
many POWs as possible, and to
find the Alien artifact chamber.

Play:

Remember not engage any
aliens in combat unless absolutely necessary.
When you collect POWs,
use them as shields to help draw enemy fire
away from your
commander.
First, go north, turn
west and kill the three aliens you find at the end of the
hallway. Turn north and
follow the hallway up to the 2nd left hand
passage that you come
to. Take this passage to the left and follow it as it
turns north. Go North,
all the way until the passage turns back to the west
again. Go west, past
the 4-way intersection with the star icon in the floor.
When you continue on to
the west, you'll finally run into the Artifact
room. Enter the room
and kill enemy aliens that you encounter.
After your group enters
this room, you'll be prompted to rescue the POWs.
You'll find them at the
middle top portion of the map. DO NOT engage
the aliens in combat.
Instead, simply move around the room walking past
the POWs to activate
them. Once you activate them, select them as part of
your group and set
everyone to 'Move Only'.
Continue until you have
selected all of the POWs. You must move
quickly to accomplish
this before your commander expires.


Blood Canyon: Scenario #12

Overview:

Our intelligence has reported
that aliens have retreated to Blood Canyon, and
that alien High council members
will be arriving in small groups to help direct
the war effort. It will be your
job to direct our operations in the canyon, and
stop the council members from
reaching their hive. Your mission objectives are
to 1) Stop all alien council
members from reaching the alien hive complex and,
2) destroy the alien hives.

Play:

Immediately, send off
your commander , a Reaper, and a Foot Trooper off
to intercept the purple
alien council members. Send them east to the
middle section that is
two levels above the very bottom of the map. Be
sure to kill them at
all costs! After you kill them, leave your men here as
more council members
will arrive at this location from time to time.
Remember to
occasionally check your commander and bring in a fresh
drop ship from time to
time to reinforce this area. The next group of
council members will
come from an area that is north of your base either
in the top left hand
corner, or the area just beneath this area. Send troopers
off here ASAP to
intercept them.
If any council members
escape past you, immediately deploy troops
around your base and
prepare for an alien assault as drop troops will be
launched at you when
this happens.
There are two areas
that you must control and hold to win this scenario.
One area is to the East
of your base, and the other is to the north.
After you have
intercepted the first group of alien council members you
must reinforce the area
east of your base, past the inactive Petra 7 vent. If
you can't accomplish
this soon enough, you'll have to start over.
Controlling this area
is a 'must' to beat this scenario. You'll want to send at
least 6 Firestorm units
over to the right of the Petra vent. Back the
Firestorm units up with
at least 4 Artillery Barrager units. Eventually,
you'll want to send
healers and more Firestorms over this line to keep it
strong, but before you
do this, secure the area North of your base.
Do this by sending at
least 4 Firestorms north. You'll notice an area to the
West that contains a
Petra Vent. Make this pathway the northern most post
in you defensive line.
Setup your Firestorm units in a line from this point
down diagonally to the
right. Again, send Healers and more Firestorm
units when you can.
You'll want to build a
Research Facility to build healers and to mine for
artifacts. You'll find
it very useful to use the artifacts to take out the
running alien council
members.
Once your base has
solid defenses, move into the area to the North East of
your base. You'll find
many artifact and Petra-7 vent areas in the area.
There is a pathway
north East of this 'middle' area that needs to be
blockaded and held to
keep the aliens out of this area. This will be a very
bloody battlefield
area. To win, you'll need to attack and hold onto this
area to mine enough
resources. Use Sarges and their Napalm attacks with
hit and run tactics to
clear this area, then send in Mass Reapers and Foot
troopers.
Once you hold this
area, you will win the game. Attack the alien base in
the lower right portion
of the map first, then move on to take out the aliens
to the upper right.
Good luck and save often...you'll probably have to play
this one through a few
times until you get the hang of it.


Last Front: Scenario #13

Overview:

The Aliens have been pushed back
to their stronghold in the Southern
hemisphere. Your mission is to
destroy all three alien hives.

Play:

Send your Exploiter off
west and start mining Petra-7 at the active vent. It
is very important to
setup a defensive line immediately to the east of your
base. Send off a few
Firestorm units east, across the first land bridge.
Continue going east
across this land mass to the next bridge area. Set the
Firestorms units up on
the right hand side of this land bridge. This is
where you'll make your
first stand. Send more Firestorm units over until
you have at least 5
present. Remember, you'll always want to backup your
Firestorm units with
artillery Barragers and eventually Healers.
Next reinforce the area
just south of your base. Setup Firestorm units to
the south of this land
bridge and make your stand here as well. You want
to make a similar
defensive line as the area you first setup to the east,
although it doesn't
have to be as strong here. Once you have these areas in
control, you will be
able to mine from 5 Petra vents which will be more
than enough to take out
the aliens. Send Osprey units out all over the map
to explore the region
thoroughly and be sure to send off Exploiters with
Foot Trooperescorts
whenever a Petra-7 mine goes active.
Once the enemy assaults
on your two defensive positions stops, you'll
want to make your first
attack against the Alien hive directly to the south.
Send at least 20
Reapers, 20 Footmen, and 5 Barrager, and 5 Sarge units
off to make a combined
attack here. It might be a good idea to save the
game here just in case
your attack fails. Once you take out this base, heal
your wounded units and
mine the artifacts to the south of the alien hive.
Use the artifacts to
take out the enemy Xeno-wort units positioned around
the next hive to the
east and then send off the next attack wave here.
Finally, do the same to
the hive in the north east corner of the map.


Ultimate Discovery: Scenario #14

Overview:

Intelligence tells us that what
lies hidden beneath the surface of this site is a
weapon of such incredible power
that it will rid this planet of those aliens once
and for all. Your mission
objective is to find the alien artifact room.

Play:

This is the easiest of
level in the game. First, collect all of your troopers
and set to 'Move only'.
Go south east and follow the narrow passage east
until you reach the
spiked gate of the artifact room. Move inside to finish
this level.

Finest Hour: Scenario #15

Overview:

This is the final scenario. Your
mission objective is to exterminate the
remaining alien hives.

Play:

This is an extremely
fun scenario. First, start mining Petra-7 at the active
vent near your base.
Upgrade your base to all Sci-labs, robot factories, and
finally the research
facility. Build a healer unit first and place it next to the
flying artifact to
begin healing it. Do not use the artifact until it is
completely healed.
While you are waiting for the artifact to heal, purchase
Firestorm units and
completely ring your base with a protective screen of
them.
Finally, build at least
7 healers and group them with your Artifact. Send
the Artifact and healer
escort off south to destroy everything in its path.
Take out the enemy base
to the south first, then take out the other two
bases to the north (one
on the east side and the other to the west)
Be careful to keep the
escort group and artifact selected to monitor its
strength level. Pull
the Artifact back and away from combat when it starts
to get red. You might
have to click onto 'Move Only' to get it out of
combat. Whatever you
do, don't allow the Artifact to be destroyed or you
will lose! Send another
Exploiter to mine the active Petra vent to the far
south east map corner
and continue to send more healers over to the
Artifact when need
arises.

Aliens

First Strike: Scenario #1

Overview:

The High council has determined
that the humans are divided into 3 tribes. The
strongest tribe is called Pan
Luma Industries. The other two are called Aerogen
and Stratus. It is understood
that the tribe Aerogen has begun an attempt to
manipulate the atmosphere of our
Mars to accommodate their inferior
respiratory systems. You must
stop them from upsetting the rich toxins this
planet generates. Your mission
objective is to destroy all atmospheric.

Play:

First, go north to the
first bend in the path. Toward to the west you'll find
enemy human troops and
atmospheric generators that need to be
destroyed. After you
make your attack here, prepare for an immediate
human counter attack.
Continue north until
you reach the Luminara. Activate it to gather in more
reinforcements. Follow
the path as it bends to the northeast. You'll
encounter a few Aerogen
troops and find more atmospheric generators to
destroy along the way.
Go East, then south. Follow the horseshoe like path
as it bends back around
to another area containing atmospheric generators.
Destroys these and then
inspire your troops with your commander and
send them down past the
green rocks. Humans will be hiding in this area
so it is very important
to have your troops in a tight group and inspired by
your commander before
you move them beyond the green rocks to attack.
After you finish off
these humans, follow the path as it turns back west
and destroy the next
group of generators that you find. Wait until you can
inspire your troops
again then send all your forces north up the hill and
attack the last group
of humans found here. Be sure to concentrate your
fire on one unit at a
time until you wipe them all out.

Interference: Scenario #2

Overview:

You will be transported to
Ramstrong Valley where Stratus tribe constructed
several buildings capable of
Radio wave manipulation. We have reason to
believe this is the primitive way
the humans communicate amongst themselves.
Your mission objective is to
destroy all human communication sites.

Play:

First, move your
Brozaar unit onto the active Petra vent to begin mining as
soon as possible. Be
sure to keep a few units next to all of your Brozaar
units to keep them safe
from enemy air and ground forces. A single Foot
Trooperand Sy-Demon
will be sufficient. Take the remainder of your
troops and scout out in
a single group to the east then to the south along
the face of the wall.
Follow this wall as it bends to the west. Leave some
foot troops to guard
the Petra vent that you find here and move the rest of
your troops to attack
the human camp near the center of the map. Send
your first Brozaar to
this area and begin mining the moment the vent near
your base runs dry.
Build a gene-sack and a
sci-pod and start building Sy-Demons. Move
these Sy-Demons along
with a Brozaar to the south to help protect the
Petra vent that is
south of your base. Upgrade your troops weapons, but
not their armor as its
better in this scenario to spend this money on more
troops.
You'll want to build up
12 Sy-Demons and a few foot troops and send
them to the small camp
that you attacked at the beginning. Take all the
troops that you have
here and move them along the far eastern passage as
it turns south. Be sure
to send the Sy-Demons out in front of your other
troops. Attack the
humans you find along the way and destroy any
communications
satellites that you encounter as well.
Once you destroy these
satellite dishes, move this force back to the Petra
Mine area they started
from and then march them west across the bridge
then go south and take
out the next group of communication dishes. Be
sure to Inspire your
Sy-Demons with your commander, then move south
and attack the
remaining human forces.

Legacy Revealed: Scenario #3

Overview:

The high council fears the humans
have stumbled upon one of the many ancient
secrets that our Mars has buried
under its surface. If this is true, then they must
be stopped. Your mission
objectives are to locate Ancona's secret and to protect
your discovery at all costs.

Play:

Deploy your Brozaar
onto the P-7 vent and then move a Xeno-wort unit
east to the next active
P-7 vent. You'll find this vent near a Cryo Chamber.
Take your remaining and
move them north east past the base except for
one trooper to guard
your P-7 vent.
Go northeast and defend
the bridge by the river. Send more Xeno-worts to
this area as soon as
possible. You must keep this position strong as it will
be attacked in strength
by the enemy.
Next, build a sci-pod
and gene-sack to max. Send 4 Xeno-worts to the
bridge area to the
north and 4 more Xeno-worts to the Cryo-chamber area.
You'll need to defend
these two areas at all costs. Securing these two
positions will allow
you to mine all the P-7 vents in the area giving you
more than enough
resources to win this scenario.
To make your final
attack, you'll want to build up a huge force of
Sy-Demons and amass
them on the bridge area northwest of your base by
the river. After the
first major human attack across this bridge, send all of
your forces west across
this bridge and attack the human base at the top
center of the map.

Operation Breakthrough: Scenario
#4

Overview:

The blue devils Stratus have laid
waste to our southern most settlement. This
nefarious band is led by one
called Commander Tick. You must take control of
this area at all costs and
perform an abduction of this commander Tick. Your
mission objectives are to 1) find
the P-7 depots and 2) destroy the human base.

Play:

This is one of the
hardest scenarios to beat! Save your game often as you
play through with these
hints.
Immediately group all
of your forces together and send them north away
from the bridge and the
Human Firestorms otherwise they'll be killed.
Find your commander and
select him and wait for night time to come. Set
your commander to move
only and when night comes run him northwest
to the Petra fuel
storage tanks. Be sure to run and touch all of the tanks
before the drop ship
comes and retrieves him.
Quickly build 3
Xeno-worts at and place them at the face of each bridge
around your base. Build
up your defenses west first, then build them to the
south. Backup the
Xeno-worts as soon as you can with a supporting line of
artillery Atrils. Use
your Atrils later to take out the human Firestorms
across the bridge
areas. Its a good idea to use Flyers as spotters for your
Atrils and make your
attacks at night time only.
Build up a sizable
force of Sy-Demons and move them West after your
Atrils clear the human
Firestorm units away. You'll have to continue
attacking Human
Firestorm units past 3 rings of human defenses.
Finally, move toward
the human base by going across the far southern
bridge. Again, take out
the Firestorms with your Atrils. Be sure to keep
your Sy-Demons close to
the Atrils for protection. You might need to send
a few waves of
Sy-Demons forward to take out human artillery when you
encounter it. Keep
building Sy-Demons and send them up to the front as
fast as you can.
Once the Firestorms are
gone, send in massed Sy-Demon attacks to take
out the humans. Be sure
to inspire your troops with your commander as
often as possible.

Roswell Revisited: Scenario #5

Overview:

We have tracked commander Tick to
his home planet of Earth and it is your
honor to attempt to abduct him
once again. Your mission objective is to locate
and abduct commander Tick.

Play:

First, wait until half
the day goes by. You can do this by checking the dial
in the bottom corner of
the screen. Once the red line gets to the 3 O'clock
position, start moving.
Be sure to set your units on Move only and never
engage the enemy if you
can help it. Go northeast and turn right at the first
compound area. Collect
both P-7 storage tanks then run behind the
warehouse to the north.
Run northwest and collect the next group of Petra
tanks then cross over
the bridge.
Run past the battle
that starts up and get out of range by running to the
north as quickly as you
can. Pass by the next right hand turn and pickup
the next group of P-7
tanks. Go back to the right hand turn that you past
by, enter it , and head
off to the southeast. Stay behind the warehouses and
follow the fence around
the warehouses to the P-7 tanks. Pick them up and
run south and into the
cactus fields. You'll find more P-7 tanks here. Grab
them and follow the
fence southwest again as it turns northeast. Ignore the
P-7 tanks you find here
at first and continue north. Make the Human
reaper units chase you
back toward the P-7 tanks. Run in a circle around
the loop, pick up the
tanks and head back north past the battle with the
Reapers chasing you
from behind.
Follow the path then
turn north at the next warehouse. Go behind the
warehouse and pickup
the tanks here. Run back west, past the artillery
Barragers and hug the
bottom fence all the way around until you're going
east . Pick up the P-7
tanks here. Run south past the battle. Help your units
fight the two Reapers
here then follow the fences past the Stratus complex
to the east and pickup
the human commander.

Puppet Masters: Scenario #6

Overview:

We have sent our puppet Commander
Tick to deceive the Pan Luma troops that
are guarding an excavation site.
Tick will lead them away to another Artifact
site allowing you to take what is
rightfully ours; the artifact which is known as
Lunatek Your mission objective is
to destroy the Citadel.

Play:

Send two Lunateks and
your commander back to your base in northwest
corner of the map. Be
sure to set them to move only. Do this immediately.
With the other Lunatek,
go to the eastern edge of the map, half way up
and deploy the Lunatek
on the east side of the enemy base. This will buy
you some time.
Deploy your Brozaar
unit and get him to start mining as soon as you can.
Send another Lunatek to
the human mining operation south of your base
and deploy it here.
Send the 3rd Lunatek over the human base and deploy
it again, only this
time, deploy it on the west side of the base.
Take the P-7 vent south
of your base from the enemy and begin mining
here. Quickly setup 3
Xeno-wort units in a defensive line across the
canyon just northwest
of the human base. Reinforce this line with 2 Atrils
that you started the
scenario with. This must be done immediately or it
will be too late and
you'll miss your window of opportunity to hold this
passage.
Set up a similar
defensive line to the southwest of the enemy base which
will box him in. Do
this immediately after you have completed your line
to the north. Keep
these two areas strong and send reinforcements when
you need them.
Move a Brozaar and some
escort troops to the bottom left corner of the
map to mine Petra. Be
careful of the roaming hoards of human troops that
patrol about. Build up
your resources and attack the human base in force.
Use your Atrils at long
range to wipe out human Firestorm units before
you launch the final
attack. Also, be sure to inspire your troops for the last
battle and attack at
night!

Civil War: Scenario #7

Overview:

Stratus has asked us for our
assistance to help protect their main base of
operation Stratus sphere 3
against the other human tribes, but now that we have
gained what we need from Stratus,
we do not need to help them any longer.
Your mission objective is to
destroy enemy human bases.

Play:

Start mining the active
Petra-7 vent. Send a gray trooper and another
Brozaar east across the
land bridge to guard and mine the Petra vent found
there. Start mining the
moment it goes active.
Send Xeno-worts south
and setup a defensive line south of the bridge
found here. Keep your
commander nearby to inspire your Xeno-worts
whenever the enemy
makes its attacks. Do not let the humans mine the
P-7 vent south of your
base near the mountain. Take out any human
Exploiters here with
your Atrils at a distance.
Setup another defensive
line south of the base past the land bridge, but
over to the east on the
right side of the Petra vent. Keep this defensive line
of Xeno-worts strong
with Healers and Atril units in support behind. Hold
your lines and stock
pile your Petra resources. You can send a lone
Brozaar south to
excavate the Artifact in the lower middle edge of the
map.
Once you have your
defenses set, mine as much P-7 as you can find.
Attack the Red human
base first. Send in some Artifacts before your main
attack to cause
confusion and attack only at night time. Once you've taken
out this base, heal
your units then attack the next human base in the lower
right hand corner of
the map. You should take out the Firestorm units at a
distance with your
Atrils. Keep Your Sy-Demons in close support as
human troops will try
to counter attack. Be sure to protect your Atrils!
Once the human
Firestorms are gone, send in all your troops to finish off
the human base.

The Screamer: Scenario #8

Overview:

Your mission objectives are to
kill Commander Tick and to destroy the enemy
bases.

Play:

Set your commander to
move only and send them north until you spot the
enemy commander. Chase
the human commander around a loop. Do not
lose visual contact
with him at any time. Follow him past the enemy
Firestorm units south,
then follow him west and south past more human
troops.
Continue off west until
you get a warning message from the drop ship.
Stop here and let the
drop ship deploy troops. Gather these troops minus
your commander and send
them off across the mine field to the west to
attack Commander Tick.
Once they start actually fighting, send in your
commander to help.
You'll be teleported
back to your base. Block the pathway north of your
base with 4 Xeno-worts
and prepare for a large attack against your base
here. Do the same to
the area southwest of your base. Mine the P-7 vents
here and build up your
strength. After the human attacks on your base
stop, send off all your
forces to attack the human base

Buried Treasure: Scenario #9

Overview:

The council has determined that
the underground labyrinth that you have
discovered holds more secrets of
the ancient artifacts. Your mission objective is
to locate the chamber of Ancient
Knowledge.

Play:

Set your units to move
only. Gather all your forces and move them north.
Avoid all combat. Go
east then south and collect the second group of
troops. Move your
forces up to the upper right hand corner of the map to
the Gorrem waiting
here. Add him to your group and move your aliens
down to the very bottom
of the map, but not too close to the purple artifact
room.
Next, move the solo
Gorrem near the bottom center of the map toward
your other troops at
the bottom of the map. After you accomplish this,
move a single gray
trooper, not your commander, into the Artifact room to
collect the other
Gorrem units found here.
Bring all these units
outside first and collect all of your forces. Save the
game here. The next bit
can be tricky and you might have to reload the
saved game a few times
until you get it down right. Move all of your
troops into the
Artifact room and use the Gorrem's disease attack, one at a
time, to halt the enemy
advance. Try and keep the enemy reapers outside
of the Artifact room
for as long as possible using this tactic. You'll have to
delay them down to the
last 10 seconds then move your leader north
through the center door
in this room. You'll need all 5 Gorrems to
accomplish this task.

Animal Instinct: Scenario #10

Overview:

Your mission objective is to
destroy the human base.

Play:

Gather all your forces
and take out the Human artillery. You'll lose these
troops, but it is
important to kill his artillery so he won't be able to attack
your base with them in
a few minutes. After you do this, go to your base
in the lower right hand
corner and use your commander to pickup the Petra
Tanks. Build your base
up to where you can build Brozaar units and send
one out to start
mining. Once you start mining, maximim out your base
and start building
Xeno-wort units.
Build another Brozaar
and send it north across the bridge and start mining
it as soon as this vent
goes active. Be sure to set up strong defenses around
this vent. Send at
least 5 Sy-Demons to the west side of the base.
The humans will patrol
their main force all over the map. Attack the
human base in force at
the top left corner when their roaming force is far
from their base.

Spider Canyon: Scenario #11

Overview:

Your mission objectives are to
find the Gorrems and steal P-7 from the humans
and to destroy the human base.

Play:

This is the single most
difficult scenario to play. First, collect your troops
and go directly north
and get the first Gorrem. The next Gorrem can be
found in the
southwestern portion of the map. Use Ortu flying units to spot
human mining camps.
Once you've done this, bring in the Gorrem units to
steal resources away
from the humans. Be sure to place the Gorrems at a
safe distance away from
any visible human units.
Don't let the humans
take out any Gorrems units. Pay close attention to
them at all times. When
they are in trouble, send them off back to your
base to heal up.
Next, setup a huge
defensive line south of your base. Move your
Xeno-worts south across
the land bridge and extend this defensive line just
south of the land
bridge southeast diagonally to the P-7 vent. Be sure it is
long enough to keep
humans from swinging in behind the vent. You'll
eventually need at
least 12 Xeno-worts to hold this area. Back up your
Xeno-worts with Atrils
and healers when you get the resources to do so.
Do not send off troops
to attack. Stay defensive until much later. Mine and
steal as much P-7
resource as you can. Build your base up to maximim so
you can locate
Artifacts. You can find artifact units just east of your base
and almost directly in
the center of the base.
Send the Lunatek
artifacts off to be used against the human base to the
southwest. Before you
make your big attack against this base, send your
commander out by
himself to direct drop ship abductions to thin the
human lines. You can
also send out raiding parties of Sy-Demons out to
lure humans back into
your defensive areas where you can slaughter them.
Once you think you are
ready to attack, save them game and then send
everything you have to
take out their base.

Then There Was One: Scenario #12

Overview:

Your mission objective is to
destroy the enemy human bases.

Play:

Start mining Petra the
moment the scenario begins, then immediately
move your troops far
north and then to the east to hold the land bridge next
to the Stratus base
camp. Build 6 Xeno-worts and send them together to
secure this area to the
north. Do the same thing and secure the area to the
east of your base. Once
you have secured this area too, build and send a
Brozaar to the Petra-7
vent north of your base.
Reinforce your two
secured areas north and east of your base with Atrils
and later with Healer
units. Keep your commander near one of these lines
to help inspire your
troops when they are attacked.
Mine all the vents you
can and stay defensive until the human attacks start
to slow down. Once they
have slowed to a minimum, send off your first
attack party to the
human base in the lower right hand corner of the map.
You'll find artifacts
here as well. Rebuild your main attack force and take
out the second base
locates midway up the left side of the map next.

Earth Intervenes: Scenario #13

Overview:

Your mission objective is to
destroy the human bases.

Play:

Start mining P-7
immediately. Use all of your resources to build gray foot
troops. Take all of
your forces, along with all the new gray Foot Troopers,
up north to attack to
human base. This attack must be accomplished in the
first minute or so of
the game.
Gather your forces
before the attack just south of the inactive Petra vent
which lies just south
of the human base. This area is near the top right of
the map. Once all your
forces have traveled to the top and are gathered at
the Petra vent, send
them in to take out the Firestorm unit that is northeast
of the human base. Keep
your troops from wandering off as they'll get
killed by other human
Firestorm unit if they do. The moment your attack
begins, use your
commander to call in a drop ship abduction against the
human artillery pieces.

Once the Firestorm unit
is destroyed, concentrate attacking on the Heavy
Robot factory portion
of his base. Try and keep your forces away from the
Firestorm units and
continue destroying his base. This attack should be
easy if you make your
attack soon enough and the drop ship captures the
human artillery. After
you destroy this base, take your remaining forces
west and wipe out the
human mining operation just west of the now
ruined base.
At the same time you
are making the attack to the north, you'll need to
quickly build up base
defensives as the human will be attacking with a
huge force very
shortly. Your best defense will be at least 5 Xeno-worts
then 3 Atrils to back
them up when you get a chance. You'll have to setup
two defensive forces
like this. Set one up to the west of your base first,
then another just like
it to the north once the west has been completed.
Once these two defenses
are in place, send another Brozaar to the east to
mine Petra 7. You'll
find artifacts along the ridge line on the east side of
the map, and also
toward the top middle portion of the map and to the
west as well. Once the
human attacks slow, build up a huge attacking
force and finish the
other human base off to the west.
The key to winning this
scenario is taking out the human base as soon as
possible in the very
beginning.

The Answer: Scenario #14

Overview:

Your mission is to find the
Chamber of Destruction.

Play:

This is a very easy
scenario. First gather your entire group and set them to
'Move Only.' Go north
through the gate then make a right turn and head
off to the east.
Continue East and slip through the narrow passage and
follow the path south.
At the end of this passage the path will turn west
and continue on to the
Chamber of Destruction. Enter it to finish the
scenario.

Final Evacuation: Scenario #15

Overview:

Destroy the human bases.

Play:

The secret of this last
scenario is to be almost entirely defensive at first.
You'll want to start
mining P-7 as soon as possible. Build as many
Xeno-worts as possible
and send them off in 3 different directions. First,
send at least 3 to
defend the east side of your base. Next send 3 off to
defend the southwestern
side of your base and finally 3 off to defend the
north. You must be
quick about deploying your defensives forces or you
will die.
Once the Artifact comes
into play, set it up to move in Way points that
will travel from the
southwest corner of your base up north, then slightly
to the east, then back
around. This will wipe out almost everything that
tries to attack your
base. Once the artifact is out swinging around your
base, beef up your
defenses to the south and especially to the north. Move
in many Atrils and
Healers to both of these locations.
Send a Brozaar to the
south to mine P-7. Be sure to escort him with a few
Foot Troopers. Once
your home defenses are completely solid, start
building an attacking
force of 15 Sy-Demons, 5 Atrils, 5 Gommers, and
20 Foot Troopers. Setup
a new waypoint path for the Artifact so it will
only cover the north
and southwest areas of your base, then send off the
attack force that you
have to wipe out the enemy presence to the east.
Mine all the P-7 sites
that you find and continue pressing the enemy to
clear a path up to the
north.
Finally, be sure to
have a ring of Healers all around your base to keep your
defensives strong.
Group together about 5 healers and your artifact and
send them out on a
killing spree. Be sure to keep the healers behind the
artifact at all times.
Retreat the artifact and heal him up once his strength
goes into the red and
then send him off again.
Be sure to keep an eye
out on your base and continue to purchase more
Sy-Demons and fresh
Atrils to defend it. Continue with this tactic until
you destroy all the
human bases.
